Valdez. End of the road. End of the pipeline. Not really the kind of place you expect 5-star, European elegance in a hotel. Thankfully. Because, you won't find it here. But you will find a hotel that matches your expectations. Comfortably adequate. But nothing more. Clean rooms, but paper thin walls where you'll hear your neighbor's poodle snoring. Fitness center,...

We had been touring Alaska for two weeks and this was our last stop. The drive to Valdez is spectacular. We had no trouble finding the hotel. Check in went smooth and our room was excellent. Very big and clean with a nice King Sized bed. The only draw back was no elevator which normally is no problem for us...

I ended up getting a smoking room as that was all they had left. The room was decent, but never got used to the stale smoke smell :( The breakfast was as expected. The location was the best part about this hotel.

We stopped in for a bit of advice & found Steve to be incredibly helpful. He was so helpful, that we sought his advice twice. On Monday night (football) we stopped in at the packed bar.The view from the bar is so beautiful. Unfortunately, the world's grumpiest bartender was on duty. Could not wait to leave.

When we came to check-in, we had to wait for her to finish her vocal personal call with her son before we could be served. Then the room keys were fouled up. Once in our room it was 97 degrees with the heat turned OFF. There was only one small window and no fan to control the temp. VERY awful...

A typical Best Western. Clean and tidy, reasonable facilities and well equipped rooms. The hotel is right on the harbour front in Valdez, close to the town. Our room overlooked the hotel garden, complete with rabbits! The hotel offers a free buffet breakfast, with most hot and cold options covered.

The rooms were what you expect for best western as far as size and cleanliness. Like most places in Alaska expect to pay more than in the lower 48. The complimentary breakfast is standard for this chain and is adequate. The restaurant and lounge is very good but again the food is not inexpensive. Remember, this is a fishing village...

We were taking the helicopter tour in Valdez and needed a place to stay for two nights. The place is your typical Best Western. It was a nice stay for two nights. Our room over looked the inlet into the harbor where you could watch the fishing boats come and go. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. I...

This is a fairly typical tourist hotel, with not much conviviality. Rooms are ok. Breakfast is fine. Cheaply priced laundrette. Great position for the Glacier Cruise embarkation Point. The adjoining restaurant serves quite good food at reasonable prices. The Stan Stephens cruise is a MUST. Also take a drive around to. The opposite side of the bay to view the...

We had great food at a reasonable price. Excellent sushi and seafood. Service a bit inconsistent, but the meals were definitely worth waiting for. Nice view of the harbor, too. Very good selection of beers to top it off, and a bloody mary our party raved about.
