We were very disappointed in this pension. We stayed 3 days recently in October 2016. The food was not very good...breakfast was just bread butter jelly and some fruit. Powder milk for our coffee. The bungalow did not have hot water or WiFi (WiFi was available in the main area) The owners provided terrible customer service and were NOT friendly!!!!...

We loved everything about our stay at Pension Paparara. Charming bungalows, with plenty of space (and hot showers!), right on the lagoon with unforgettable views of the sunset. Great access to the magical water of Fakarava, with a nice swimming beach at your doorstep. We especially loved watching the resident black tip reef sharks and nurse shark swimming around the...

This is a beautiful and simple pension. All bangalos are in front of the sea and have a very nice view of the sunset. The room has space enough and altought there is no air conditioner there is a lot of wind. The family who runs the pension do not speak english very well and maybe this is the reason...

Last month we stayed at pension Paparara for three days. We very much enjoyed our time there. It was peaceful and the setting was idyllic. The bungalows face the lagoon and provide wonderful views of the sunset. For those who like snorkeling there are numerous coral heads directly in front of the bungalows. The hard corals are colorful and there...

Nicely located beach huts with mosquito netted beds and a pleasant verandah overlooking the lagoon. Only one hut has hot water so book early or face a cold shower. The communal lounge / bar and dining area are part of the owner's house and the large wall mounted TV in the lounge area was almost permanently on showing Peppa Pig...

Great pension with bungalows facing the lagoon. Perfect place to enjoy the real french polynesia. Ato and Corina are very nice and helpful hosts and they also offer a selection of various activities at affordable prices. On the plus side, fantastic dinner with local and various dishes! Highly recommended!

Pension Paparara is beautifully placed right up against the lagoon on the north end of Fakarava. The ocean was just a few steps from your front porch, and the setting is postcard perfect. There is nothing going on in Fakarava aside from the diving, but the diving is some of the best in the world. Fakarava is a UNESCO world...

I spent the whole week at Pension Paparara and I really enjoyed the authenticity of Polynesian life. For me, this experience was much better than staying at Bora Bora, because Fakarava is an amazing atoll, not touched/destroyed by tourism and you can relax, dive and enjoy. Ato and Corina are very nice persons and thanks to their familiar approach, you...

We are so happy to have made the journey to Fakarava. The water and diving here are superb- vibrant corals and thriving marine life. Pension Paparara is a lovely change from the big resorts- clean, comfortable bungalows on the white sand beach with good air flow, amazing ocean view and wonderful food. Ato and Corina are fantastic hosts and generously...
