Amazing, fabulous, beautiful and the best food ever. I cannot say enough good things about this slice of paradise. Mani and Tila are wonderful hosts to this part of the world that they both know and love. The pension is hand-crafted by Mani. It is beautiful, comfortable and "green." We snorkeled off the dock, scubaed in the pass, walked the...

If you are seeking 4 star accommodations with a spa and pool boys with drinks, don't head to the south pass. This is remote, but our owner and host Manehi has personally constructed an amazing compound just off the south pass, known for shark diving. The bungalows are caringly constructed from local woods and palm thatch. Our bungalow was quite...

One of the nicest places I ever visited, peaceful and attractively furnished in traditional ma'ohi way, wirth very kind attention (but no hustle) from staff, and no media pollution whatsoever. But if you need stress, nightlife, restaurants or if you're a geek, this is no place for you ;-)

The south pass is one of the best spot to dive in the french polynesian. The Bungalows at Motu Aito are very nice and the location is great to access the bird island and les plages roses. You really feel like you are at the end of the world and can appreciate a place which has not been poluted or...

Motu Aito is located at the far end of Fakarava atoll, in the South. After 1h driving and 2h30 of boat, you arrive on this rocky island, principally made of dead corals and which may seem a little bit unwelcoming at the first look, but then you see how beautiful the environment is, and you are in the middle of...

Our recent stay at Motu Aito Paradise near the south pass of Fakarava was as interesting and enjoyable as our past two visits in 2010 and 2013. This time we stayed 9 days. Our daily activity was scuba diving with TOPDIVE. The south pass (Tomakohua pass) is famous for sharks and indeed this time, as has been the case during...

As others have noted, Manihi and Tila was amazing hosts. The food was fresh, healthy, and delicious. I brought a bottle of rum and pineapple juice, and some snacks, since there are NO stores on this end of the island and there is no bar to purchase drinks. My travel buddy and I were the only ones there for 4...

I would strongly recommend you take a supply of wine or beer plus a few snacks depending on your preference to enjoy and compliment meal time to...

I really enjoyed scuba diving at the Tetamanu pass (with Top Dive), and staying nearby at Motu Aito Paradise made it easy, but I had some reservations about the lodge. Our bungalow was one of the two on stilts at the edge of the litttle inlet from the lagoon, which sounds nice, but these two are really small, with the...
