I stayed there for 1 night on the way from Anchorage to Valdez. The lodge is at a very beautiful location where you have lake in the back yard, mountains facing the back side and Matanuska glacier and snow-capped mountains facing the front side. And it is only couple of miles to Matanuska glacier. The lodge itself is like an...

Unfortunately we only had one night at Matanuska Lodge B&B. While it was the most expensive B&B of our trip, it was worth it. The décor is eclectic and quirky with nice luxury touches - like the soap in the shape of flower petals. The room had a lot of furniture but all the pieces created a feeling of luxury,...

A great bed and breakfast and wonderful host and fantastic cook for our breakfast. We saw the Aurora lights for 2 nights and room was great place to stay for the 2 nights we were there. Walk on the Matanuska Glacier was wonderful and the mountains views from lodge were breath taking.

This is the best Lodge/B&B I've ever stayed in! Everywhere you walked with the 3 floors of the building there were creative works of art. There was stained glass, colorful homey signs, comfortable furniture and hand carved Alaskan art. There was thought, care and expense put into every inch of the lodge inside and out. Even outside when walking around...

An incredibly beautiful and quirky lodge in a stunning Alaskan wilderness resembling something out of a movie! Attention to detail - five stars! There is a lake you can kayak or paddle boat on and we were told in the winter it freezes up for skating, cross country or riding a snow mobile. The views out front and back are...

We stayed for one night and the lodge is very impressive. Beautifully built and decorated. We stayed in the Glacier room and it was beautiful and very nice luxury bathroom! We used the outdoor hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful views from the deck. Breakfast was delicious, quiche, potatoes (excellent), fruit and breads and juice. I'm a travel agent and...

We were greeted upon arrival by BRENDA and her young assistant. The house was very eclectically decorated and I continually spied new and interesting pieces over our 2 night stay. The views from every porch and room are fantastic. The bedding and bath appointments are luxurious. Breakfast each morning was exceptional in quality and quantity. On the 2nd afternoon of...

We spent two nights at Matanuska Lodge. Brenda is so nice, the lodge is beautiful, and the breakfast was amazing. We highly recommend. Very close to MICA Guides for Matanuska Glacier tours! There is no place better to stay in the area in our opinion. As an added bonus, there was a moose right off our patio when we arrived!
