Micronesia wasn't even on our short list of places to visit, but there was a 5-night stay at Kosrae Village that was offered on a local PBS station's travel auction -- and I bid and won, so off we went! Even before we got to there, interaction with Katrina via email was great: she was always very prompt to respond,...

If you like scuba diving, swimming, etc., and eco-friendly - this is the place Katrina and Bruce (owners) are so warm, friendly and charming and very accommodating - the diving is terrific and at the end of the dive day, they clean and store your gear for the next day - What a gem - I look forward to going...

It ain't the Plaza, but that's the point. You're out in nature, and it's wonderful. Katrina and Bruce make you feel like you are true house guests (but there is a bill, which by my estimation was good value for the buck) and they are there to enjoy your company as much as make sure you enjoy yourself. Yes, it's...

Where does one start..afraid of falling coconuts?..Kosrae Village is unforgettable..this is getting away with a twist...you are far away..and worth every minute of the effort of getting far away to do so..No shopping, no traffic, no hassle. Laid back in a beautiful surrounding. An attentive staff. Great restaurant for all meals-- but don't expect vintage wine. Don't expect manicured gardens....

I took two dives with the friendly folks at Kosrae Village Ecolodge after eating at their restaurant a day earlier. Katrina Adams and her husband Bruce are extremely nice folks who built this amazingly cool ecolodge resort with their own hands starting in 1995. They were super helpful with the gear, packed a delicious lunch, and stuck next to me...

If you are going to Kosrae and want to experience the island culture and lifestyle, you must stay at Kosrae Village. The other hotels on the island are more like spruced up American roadside motels. Instead, Kosrae Village offers a totally unique experience. Sleep listening to the crashing waves and feel the cool breeze without a need for a.c.

Island Magazine ranks the KVR Top 5 in the World and I AGREE! I tell everyone I meet and as I have written in my emails.. Enjoy sunrise from your front porch as it lights up the ocean. Enjoy a cup of coffee as all bungalows have coffee makers with freshly ground coffee and small refrigerators. This is a special...

What a nice place. If you want to experience what life is like in a Kosrae village, this is it. The huts are nice, and the food is excellant. We took a tour of the island with Jarino which was one of the best times of our lives. He really loves his island and it shows when he takes you...

I have stayed at the Kosrae Village twice, once for 4 days and once for 3 days. Had a very enjoyable experience both times. First, the location is rather isolated, very calm and quiet, and on a nearly deserted beach. If you like peace and quiet and natural surroundings, this is the place to find it. Absolute silence at night...
