Datca is one of the best areas of Turkey, maybe even the best. Here you still find virgin beaches, amazing clear water, authentic Turkish villages and local tourists. Local tourism is well developed on the peninsula and there are plenty of excellent, authentic restaurants. When it comes to hotels there are not many choices in the upper categories. Mehmet Ali...

Everything about this hotel is delightful...wonderful service, gorgeous rooms, a beautiful, quaint village, fabulous food. You can spend all day just soaking in the flowers and garden scenery. All the rooms are beautiful, sumptuous, well-appointed and roomy. We were on a fabulous Backroads Bike Trip, so transportation was easy, and the biking was great (another review.) It is difficult for...

We found cockroaches in the room and no staff assistance and kindness. Most of staff is no english speaking. Most of old commun rooms were closed or used as warehouse. No wifi in the room. Breakfast was poor on quality and selection. No staff at bar and pool. We had a feeling that the mansion was abandoned and keep only basic services.

We spent one night after a long day driving from Ephesus and taking the ferry from Bodrum, near the end of the season in late October. The hotel grounds and the main building are exquisite. The out buildings where most of the rooms are, not as nice. Only a few other rooms were occupied and perhaps to make the huge...

This really is a very pleasant hotel; stylish and beautifully decorated. It has plenty of history, style and character with the most stunning gardens. Also the pool area is beautiful and very well kept. We travelled independently and used this hotel as a base to explore the peninsula. It is very out of the way so a car is pretty...

Spent two nights at this hotel in July 2013. Just wanted to explore the Datca peninsula. This is a good base to do that from. Positives: very large garden - peaceful and spacious and full of flora. Has a number of places where you could just sit and relax and listen to the garden sounds. Staff will bring you drinks...

The Mehmet Ali Aga Mansion was highly touted by friends of friends, so our expectations were quite high, and the hotel did not live up to those raised expectations. The mansion and the rooms are lovely -- one of nicest rooms we stayed in in Turkey, but the entire premises we felt were neglected -- it felt like careless management....

We stayed for 4 nights at the Mansion as part of a split centre week with Exclusive Escapes. We are always confident that we will enjoy staying at Exclusive Escapes' properties and this one did not disappoint. Our room was not in the main house, but was one of the "stone rooms" which looked out onto the beautiful gardens. The...
