Set amidst the charm of Sapa, Hotel de la Coupole - MGallery garners acclaim for its professional service and artistically luxurious atmosphere, blending French elegance with local culture. Guests have called out the stunning indoor pool and the extensive breakfast buffet as highlights. While the central location is perfect for exploring, some guests note occasional street noise.
The stylish rooms are celebrated for their comfort, though the AC has received some criticism. Despite higher prices, the hotel's cleanliness and unique amenities offer a sense of value to many travelers.

Last time I was in Sapa, the hotel was not opened so I and my husband decided to booked this hotel and enjoyed a weekend staycation.
The hotel’s location is in the middle of the town, right behind the Sapa station where you can get a cable car ticket and straight up to Fansipan.
The staff at Front office followed the procedure to help protect us from Covid-19 which made us feel secure. Trang (Kelly) sent us a very warm welcome at the beginning and made our check in at ease. We were given a deluxe room on 9th floor for 2 nights; the room and facilities are exceptional.
Even though I like the Egg benedict so much, I have to admit their breakfast buffet was a bit poor with too many egg dishes. However, the staff are always welcome and friendly. Khue and the pregnant female staff took care of us very well. We had lunch at Chic restaurant and everything was nicely prepared and delicious.
Absinthe service was not as good as we expected, we tempted to order a set of afternoon tea for two but the staffs there was not properly and proactively introducing their afternoon tea set so I just passed that option and we went out for a late lunch on the first day. We did spend an afternoon swimming and exercising. The pool is superb but the gym is under expectation but it is normal since most of the resorts don’t offer a large fitness. The hotel offers a very good price for 90 mins body and facial treatment at their Nuages spa. The spa room was very nice decoration but a little bit noisy as it was overlooking a crowded street. I like their spa and skincare products, even the welcome drinks gave us a very relaxing feeling. Overall was a fantastic stay and we will surely come back this picturesque hotel.

Unlike some other establishments, Hotel de la Coupole, or Hotel of the Domes, does not disappoint its moniker. A stunningly gorgeous masterpiece of a hotel decorated in elegantly playful fashion motifs. Architecturally, one of my top 10 favorite hotels in the world. Grounds and rooms are immaculately kept. I can easily imagine slipping back into time and enjoying what it must have been like in posh French Indochina colonial times. The pool alone is worth the price of admission.
Rooms are charmingly decorated and equipped with an undersized television, small refrigerator, capable hair dryer, and weight scale, but note the smallest room class, the Classic, does not have a desk or bathtub - you may want to reserve the next higher class up if either is an important necessity. Hotel is centrally located in the middle of Sapa town and has an assortment of restaurants, shops, and spas within walking distance.
Some unfortunate misses are the general lack of English fluency of the hotel staff and customer service challenges from the front desk that are not expected coming from such a large international hotel chain such as Accor.
The breakfast buffet is your standard international hotel chain gut busting affair and, as always, if you partake make sure to include it in your hotel room package as the a la carte pricing is a small princely sum. The lunch and dinner at the property are thoroughly unremarkable and sadly not in the same league with the beauty of the hotel. Skip them unless convenience or surroundings are of paramount importance. The Absinthe Bar, however, is opulently appointed and staff although more cheerful than capable are a delight.
Overall, a beautiful hotel in the clouds. Let’s just hope the food and customer service mature one day to match the hotel’s architectural splendor.

Dear theodorek598, Thank you so much for spending your precious time to share a very detail experiences of your staying at Hotel de la Couple, Mgallery Sapa. It's always our pleasure to get a constructive feedback from our guests. We are grateful to read that you had an overall enjoyable stay in our hotel. Your compliment on the room & facilities, the hotel design and location as well as our swimming pool are highly appreciated. In addition, I think your recommendation of choosing suitable room class and package including breakfast will be very useful for those who never stayed in our hotel before. Unfortunately, we are truly regret that the customer service of our Front desk team didn't meet your expectation and also the problem with English skill of hotel staff. We are still doing a lot of training from the pre-opening time until now to improve the skills of our hotel staff and will focus more on training so that it can actually deliver better results. Currently, we also welcomed a new Executive Chef with many new ideas so we expected that the food & beverage will be significantly improved over the time. Once again, thank you so much for your sharing and we hope that we will have another chance to better serving you. We will try our best to make your trip unforgettable moment. Sincerely,

I recently stayed at De La Couple and, from the moment you arrive at the entrance, the whole hotel has a feeling of grandeur. The staff who greet you are dressed in stunning uniforms and the huge doors to the lobby open up to bring you into a space filled with the most elegant decor and artifacts from the French colonial era. When wondering around the hotel, you spot something different every day. The rooms are perfectly fitted out and our balcony had a 180 degree view of Sapa town. The fine details are not lost anywhere in this hotel, from the lavish dinning room, the Absyinthe bar and the quite stunning swimming pool area with its enormous statues of swimmers in different degrees of diving. As for the outside roof terrace, it would be hard to find a more amazing place to relax and sip a drink while viewing the wondrous view of mount Fansipan right before your eyes. Every one of the staff that I met was totally professional and attentive but still with a completely warm, welcoming energy. As befitting to such a hotel, the food, from breakfast to lunch and dinner, was of the very highest quality. This hotel is most definitely one place that anybody would be happy to revisit.

This is a 5 star EXPERIENCE!!! You could never leave the hotel and have a splendid time!!! The food is AMAZING & the service is great! The bfast buffet is not included in the room rate, but it’s well worth the extra money. The spa is wonderful and the views are exceptional. I would highly recommend booking a room here from a partner site rather than through the actual hotel, then upgrading upon check in. You’ll get a better value that way. We booked the “classic” (yellow) rooms, then upgraded to the “deluxe” (jade green) room upon check in.

This spa and massage place in this hotel is absolutely amazing. We were greeted with complimentary tea and escorted into our private chambers. We were given the option to be in individual or couples rooms. Our masseuses Thanh Mai, Pham Mai, Them and Nguyen knew how to cater to all our knots and sores. They were responsive to personal needs and the quality of the products used during the facials were A grade brands from France. We received an amazing discount which was a 60 minute full body massage and 30 minute facial for 1.099.00VND which is equivalent to about $70AUD which is worth so so much more than we could’ve imagined.
Thanks to the amazing staff here for making our experience unforgettable.

I spend about 6 months in hotels per year, visited and spend numerous nights in hotels but this one stands out. Even though the property opened just slightly over a year ago the team is very attentive to guests. A true discovery and over the top architecture and decor - thank you Bill Bensley - you can get the in through clouds feeling at night and wake up with the clouds just at your feet.
First experience with the hot stone at the spa and that was truly a memorable time.
Really a stunning team and the wow feeling at every corner of the property.

We booked directly with the hotel, contacted the Concierge Ms Christine Giang on whatsapp. Like our local guide, she answered all questions, even during non-working hours. Organise rooms to transport to Sapa, updated on the latest weather and the rice paddy harvest progress. Patiently accommodating all of our changes. It was really reassuring and make us feel very secure and well informed.
Dinner at Chic Restaurant food is very spot on, if you are looking for a dining experience in Sa Pa, this is the place to go. The service is very attentive, the waiter notices your slightest needs and bring in what is in your mind before you even ask for it.
Rooms services was also spectacular. It's cleaned more than once a day. We went trekking and it was bit muddy and somedays grueling hot, it was very nice to have a clean cozy room to come back to every time we went out, I really appreciate the attention and details room service has given us.
A home where you are completely pampered, everything around you is so visually beautiful and romantic.

We heard about this hotel last year from a cable TV show called Executive Class. Seeing how grand the hotel is, with its location in the middle of picturesque Sapa, we decided to have our next vacation in this place. Our family of seven had a grand vacation experience at the hotel. We arrived with warm greetings and welcomed with hot towels and cups of hot chocolate. Check-in was very smooth and easy by a warm and fluent receptionist. The rooms were picturesque and very comfortable. My sister and brother were given complimentary birthday treats, and they were sprawled on the beds in their room accompanied by a delicious birthday cake. The Absinthe bar was extremely cozy—despite the cold weather—with all its plush sofa seats and very welcoming bartender who gave us extra snacks for our drinks. The locally made plum wine was sweet and tasty! Chic restaurant for our breakfast was extremely grand, with a wide array of dishes and a very approachable waitress who asks us intermittently what we need. Our pool experience at Le Grand Bassin was extremely great and comfortable, with the warm interior of the room and heated pool that we had all for ourselves at that time. Checking out of the hotel was great as well, as we had a little chat with the warm and friendly receptionist Ms. Giang while she guided us to Sapa station at the side of the hotel for our trip to Mt. Fansipan. All in all, our Hotel de la Coupole experience was perfect and extremely exceptional. We are sure to recommend the hotel to our friends back home. We are absolutely going to come back to Sapa and stay here again!

We went there in what could be considered “low season” because of COVID-19, so the hotel was almost empty, but we were positively impressed at finding that everything was up and running. The restaurant is very good and breakfast was very good both at the weekend, when it was buffet, and during the week, when it was a la carte. The treatments and the massage at the spa are very good and the swimming is awesome. Service is very attentive, but not invasive.
The view on the mountains all around is breathtaking from the rooftop bar.
A place I’d love to go back to.

Well trained staff with good proficiency in English.
Lavish breakfast buffet with daily newness with no corners (unlike many other hotels) despite impact of pandemic & super low season. Passion fruit cheese cake (ordered via room service) is a must-try.
Stepping into hotel is like stepping into time machine bringing one back to the colonial era. Beautiful, well trimmed jardin & unique interior with vintage deco pieces provide lots of IG moments.
Therapists Ms. Trang & Ms. Ma of Nuages Spa are exceptionally skillful; thanks to them we experienced one of the best massages in Vietnam.
Sound-proofing in room & spa can be improved.

I didn’t specify the view but ended up with a room with mountain view. This is on the side of the main entrance but the street is quiet. I wasn’t bothered by noise. You should put in a request to the hotel.
There is no airport. You are committed to the night train. Shuttle bus or personal transport ie limo service. Sapa is 4-5 hours by car. All night by train
You have to tell the hotel number of adults & children. They have rooms of different sizes.
Dear Goonetta, thank you for your interest in Hotel de la Coupole. For guests travelling from Singapore, you can take a direct flight to Hanoi and get on either a sleeping bus or a private car or a limousine to Sapa. The journey takes around 5.5 - 6 hours and the price varies depends on your choice of transportation.
Looking forward to welcoming you soon.
