We stayed here for new year and opted for an apartment with a private pool. We had a pool on the balcony, a very large bedroom and bathroom, kitchen and a whole rooftop to ourselves. There is a large TV in which you can watch Netflix etc. The staff will bring your breakfast to the apartment in the morning and are very helpful. The place was clean and comfortable. Would definately stay here again!

A Private oasis away from hustle and bustle - but still within walking distance of everything you want to see. Pool was a bit murky and private rooftop has weathered but the bed, bathroom and kitchen were grand and delighted our needs as we were always out and about but could surrender to a beautiful bed and bathroom!

I stayed here with my family in a villa which seemed beautiful upon arrival, but quickly went down hill. The place wasn’t clean and our feet became black almost instantly. The towels were visibly old and worn out, and the bathroom was so dusty and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned. The bed sheets had stains on them, which was not pleasant. We had spiderwebs around the place, and a horrible sewage smell came up when we used the kitchen stay. The service is terrible, and we had to repeat our wishes multiple times. Be careful, it seems nice at first, but when you take a closer look there are many problems.

We arrived very late due to travel surcamstansis, there were no receptionist to check us properly. But the door man had our details and he expected our arrival. The room was not ready the bed sheets seemed like used. And it was very difficult to communicate with the door men, luckily I had a very helpful driver I called him and they fexed the room and every thing else. The location is near shops and good restaurants for breakfast choices. The room and flats are really big and you would have your own private rooftop relaxing area and pool. Coffee shops walking distance.

Well, I would like to give a review of Canggu Rooftop Villas, but unfortunately, they didn’t have any rooms available despite me having a reservation made on 7/28/2018 (yes, today is 10/24/2018). We arrived to the hotel, which is not easy to locate because there is no sign, for the woman at reception to tell us that there was an “error” with their “travel company” (aka booking.com) and they did not have our room available. I asked why, in the 3 months since we booked the room, did they not inform me of the “error”. She had no response. Her solution was to “allow” us to stay at this other POS hotel down the alley called D’Wina Villas, which is garbage. She tried to tell us that it was a better room since it also had a separate living room and kitchen and two additional double beds. We were on our honeymoon; WTF were we gonna do with two extra double beds??? However, we got to the room after sweating our a$$es off and found stains on everything and the entire villa to be very dirty. Not to mention, the minibar was stocked with NOTHING and there were spiders in our room. We had to pay the same amount for the other villa because our booking was non-refundable. Do yourself a favor, DONT BOOK WITH CANGGU ROOFTOP VILLAS.

I have been incredibly disappointed with our stay here. After reading Melissas's last review it was like she also had the exact same experience as us! I have been trying to email management and show them pictures of our place with no reply. Our bedsheets have disgusting stains all over them! They are rarely changed. We never have towels and daily we have to ring up to get new ones sent to our room. When they arrive they are dirty, grey and with holes in them. Our toilet has not been cleaned since we arrived and there were stains and god knows what stuck on the toilet bowl. There were cobwebs, dead bugs and grime over the bathroom floors. They gave us a Teatowel to use and it looked like an old rag that had been used for years. My Mum is staying in a room next to us with all the same issues. She doesn't even have any cooking utensils, just one pot lid. We had to ask over and over to get some sort of shade put up on the rooftop as you can't even use it! In the pictures it showed a bed with a cloth covering the top of it for shade protection however that was not here when we arrived. I would not recommend this place, they will not refund your money and do not listen to reasonable requests of cleanliness. Worst place! The photos below are of our toilet, sheets and towels.

We arrived and the room was nice. First small issue was the tv didn’t work. They sent someone to fix it for us. Next small issue- hot water wouldn’t work in the shower, they sent someone to fix it. Half way through the shower the water stopped. It came back after a bit. All of these things could have been overlooked. Except.... 9am we were awoken abruptly by our room and bed shaking. Incessant, loud banging. Called reception and they sent someone to ‘ask what the problem was’. Ridiculous. They said there was a ‘project’ happening downstairs and they asked them to stop for an hour until we went out to get breakfast (we had already been rudely awoken and couldn’t go back to sleep- they actually didn’t stop, but stopped banging on our wall). Reception assured us the project was just for 1 day & would be over. We returned from breakfast and couldn’t rest as the loud banging was continuous. Went to a wedding that afternoon & returned late. Surprise! We were again woken up the next day with the same thing. Staff offered free breakfast. What a joke.

This hotel has honestly ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. I have spent the past few days back and forth with booking.com because the night I showed up after 17hrs of travel, I didn’t even have a room in their hotel. I booked my room months in advance and had emailed them multiple times checking in because of the earthquakes and at no point did anyone tell me they were double booked. When I arrived after a long day of travel they told us we didn’t have a room there but we would stay in their sister hotel for a night. Well, I didn’t book that hotel, if I want d to stay there I would have booked that one. I paid $500 usd after all the taxes and fees to stay in this hotel for only 3 nights and I find it ridiculous that they not only gave our room to someone else for one of those nights but that they found no issue with the fact that they herded us around like animals. The manager was rude and offered free breakfast in lue of a refund which is hilarious considering how cheap food is in Indonesia and how expensive our room was. His excuse for not issuing me a refund for the night we were robbed of our room was that I had a non-refundable cancelation. What a joke! I didn’t cancel, you gave my freaking room away. I am now in a hotel in Ubud that cost the same amount yet has given my boyfriend and I the most amazing experience and hospitality I could imagine. This is what I paid $500 for. Oh! They also lied to Booking.com and told them I was satisfied with my stay and the issue had been resolved despite the fact that I made it clear I was not satisfied and even filled out a feedback form before I left. NEVER STAY HERE! If 0 was a rating, I’d choose it.

For what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, my experience was quite the opposite. My girlfriend and I booked a private room here 4 months in advance yet once we arrived they said it’s double booked. We then had to go to a different hotel for the night. After speaking with the manager for a partial refund we were offered a free breakfast and massage. Massages only cost about 10USD and we spent over 500USD to stay here. You can see the frustration. DONT STAY HERE

We stayed in this villa for 3 nights. At first it was great and then we had 2 main problems: 1. AC not working properly (problems with electricity) but they fixed it the next day. 2. There is no swimming pool. The swimming pool is only limited for private rooms - which should be stated clearly on the booking page. 3. We pulled the bedsheet and we saw blood stains on the bed. It was gross. Honestly its not worth the price.
