We appreciated the whole included the hotel, Anithas bistro with very good indian food, the morningyoga, very nice ayurveda-treatments and the good atmosphere. The location to rhe very nice beach was appreciated.
I stayed at the resort with my partner and four friends in January 2019 We arrived very early in the morning at 4am, and Anitha met us, to show us to our rooms. From the outset we were extremly pleased with the level of service and the resort itself. The rooms are large, with excellent AC and large double beds. There is a fridge in the room, shower room with toilet, and a lovely balcony with flowers and plants. The room and property are kept immacuately clean. Now to the level of service. Anthia is such a lovely women, always greeting everyone with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. She organises yoga classes and local walks all free of charge. She will also offer advice on local trips and excusions further afield. There is a massage and treatment centre within the resort, which I can highly recommend. The restaurant serves excellent food and is number one in Kovalam The resort is in a very quiet peaceful area, 5 minutes walk from the beach Wifi is very good and a lovely breakfast is served each morning on the room terrace We will definately return to the resort in January 2021…
We had corresponded with anita prior to our holiday. She arranged for a driver to collect us from the airport. We were taken to the homestay and checked in ,no hassle. The room is big, tea and coffee makinf facilities, lots of storage and hanging space. Large wet room, excellent shower. The bed is very hard but that suits us. Breakfast is lovely sat on the roof terrace. Anita booked our onward tour of kerela and we were able to leave our cases for our return trip. Anita and joseph are excellent hosts and we can highly recommend the homeststay. 2 minutes walk from the beach, would i return? Definitely
Checking in with a friend who had also booked a room we were told, with no apology, that there was only one room available. My friend had all the luck and found a lovely room next door at Maharajah Palace. My room looked good, spacious and lovely balcony. But, the bed was SO hard that I had to take the seat pads off the chairs and sleep on those. The pillows were tiny and lumpy. Again the chair cushions were slightly more comfortable. I have never had a more uncomfortable night. A shame because the restaurant is lovely but the hotel I would never recommend. Thanks god it was only one night.
Excellent ambience. Delicious food. Wide menu choice with many healthy options. Welcoming and efficient staff. Definitely one of the very best restaurants in Kovalam. Slightly hard to find on first visit but worth the effort! A definite "must visit" on your stay in Kovalam.
My wife and I were brought here by a neighbouring hotel, when we realised the room we booked had no air con. We were shown Anithas and were instantly happy with the room. Yousef the manager was very attentive and helped us organise the following parts of our trip in Kerala. The rooms were clean and big. The breakfast and coffee was good each morning. We enjoyed a session with the onsite herbal doctor, who gave advice on health issues. We also had 1hr 30 min traditional oil massage. There was a slight issue with hot water while we were there, which was a shame but did not bother us too much.
After three weeks in Kovalam passing by Anitha’s every day looking for good restaurants we finally took the stairs up to Anitha’s terrace and where overwhelmed. The best service, the best food, the best cappuccino but most importantly the best desserts! Hello to the King is Top 3 on my list of best ever. Anitha’s is Simply the Best... We are two girls, who stayed at Anithas for 3 night. We enjoyed our stay very much. They had very helpful staff and beautiful rooms with a nice view. Also great location, only short walk to the beach. Would recommend when visting Kovalam.
Very nice and cosy hotel, the manager was very helpful. There is a lot of shade from the plants around, so it is not too hot even in a non-ac room. Beautiful balconies with flowers. Nice breakfast terrace on the roof. The bed was a bit hard though.
We were a group of 13 travelling together, so had 5 air-con rooms here. All rooms were clean and roomy. Booking was easy – direct with the hotel as Booking.com didn’t come up with enough rooms when I tried. We arrived later than originally expected due to a strike, but I was really impressed that several staff from Anitha’s were waiting to meet us. Finding Anitha’s is not easy on a first finding, so they met us as far as our minibus could go. They helped to carry our bags. Anitha’s is quietly tucked away yet only a minute’s walk from the seafront close to the lighthouse – really accessible for the beachfront. Yusuf was really helpful sorting out a massage needed for one of our party due to water retention. He also booked some tuk-tuks for us to visit a charity school (SISP – open on Fridays for visitors normally – a really good organisation which is really grateful for any donations). He also booked our train for leaving, for a small charge of course. We loved our 3 nights stay here and our teenagers enjoyed their surf lessons through the SISP surf school (profits go to the SISP school). We visited the lighthouse briefly on the last night. It shuts at 6pm and has a lift most of the way up. Still a steep ladder for the last little section. Breakfast at Anitha’s felt quite basic but did involve a fantastic bowl of fresh fruit.…
