Raj is a wonderful Masseur. Thorough professional. Well versed with Ayurvedic and other massage therapies. A safe pair of hands dedicated to the profession and it's rites. He clearly explains what he is going to do before beginning anything. At the end of it, it was at once relaxing and invigorating. Would recommend Raj wholeheartedly to any one who plans to avail massage services. Regards Joseph
Very clean bright room on the 3rd floor with a/c. Fab balcony overlooking the beach and close to main beach front restaurants. Kettles etc are not provided. But coffee and breakfast can be arranged and delivered to your room for a small fee. There Is access to a quieter small beach via the hotel. Again for a for a small fee you can use the pool in the next hotel. We had an medical emergency whilst we we here. The staff were fantastic organising a car immediately, driving us to the hospital and staying with us to act as interpreters. We can’t thank them enough. A little gem indeed.
Nothing to say ...no words.is this a resort???just like lodging😡 we booked a room atlast...with tears we left.and onething everyone is too greedy in there. Breakfast also too high cost in there n very low quality..... I dont know how to explain..... really unhappy to us😓
We were accomodated in the nearby lodge type room called annexue which has no facilities of a resort. No toileteries provided. No restaurant. The only luxury is a fan. Washbasin tap was not closing. Full of mosquitoes. No TV in room. No car park. The room has a beach view from distance. The main building have access to a private beach. The name only is resort. The main building looks better from outside. Not even parking space. Don't know why they call it a resort. Nothing great here. Wastage of money. The location is on the road leading to vizhinjam lighthouse need to walk 5 minutes to reach the main beach.
This property is located right on the beach; in fact it shares a private beach with some adjacent properties. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The rooms have large balconies with a splendid view of the sea. However, the kitchen is horrible - there is hardly and staff and they aren't equipped to handle guests. So, if you are staying here, plan to eat out - there are many options close by.
This is my second visit to the Vija Varma Beach Resort. The rooms on the third floor have great views of the ocean and Lighthouse Beach. The staff is most attentive seeking to meet any reasonable need you have. Breakfast was included which was simple with full boiled eggs, fruit , toast, jam and coffee or tea. Santoosh is the manager and he will make arrangements for taxis or auto- rickshaws, as well as suggest Indian food restaurants off the beaten path, messages, yoga instructors, as well as seafood restaurants. The rooms cleaning is typical of many in the area, as you need or ask for them to be cleaned. The remainder of the staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are basic with fan, AC, bathrooms include shower only. The balcony has chairs and a fan with a fantastic view of Lighthouse Beach, the ocean and the mosque.…
The rooms are a good size with moderate but smart looking bathroom attached. However the balcony is the chief attraction here with a stupendous view of coconut palms swaying in the breeze, greenery and blue sea beyond. We watched the light change throughout the day and listened to bird calls and chattering squirrels. The location is excellent, 2-3 minutes walk to the uncrowded beach, and 4-5 minutes to the main Lighthouse beach. We had a fan-only room on the ground floor, cool enough NOT to need ac, lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves from the open door.... The staff were friendly and helpful, booking us in for a return stay after a trip to Varkala. We got a great recommendation from the manager to a cheap fish place in the nearby fishing port and a tuk tuk driver was called to take us there. Like other places calling themselves “beach resort “ in India, it is just a hotel and it was unrealistic of previous reviewers to have expected fridges, free water, etc! The restaurant no longer operated. WiFi good.…
First change the name please, this is no way a resort - no arrangement for food, not a single amenity in the room, no room service !! The rooms are okay just for an overnight sleep The only positive is - Very good view from the rooms - But when you have sit on super dirty chairs and stained linens to enjoy the view - well it is not worth it.
the hotel is in the perfect location, just off the main walkway along the beach and up a tiny hill. the area is quiet and they have access to a smaller, less crowded beach nearby. the room was clean, quiet, and the perfect size with a great balcony facing the water. the staff members were so helpful (forgot the name of the young man that was in school and was wonderful) and accommodating...always asking if everything was okay and if i needed anything. i would definitely go back, thank you!
We arrived late at night to a completely dirty room with blood stains all over the bed. Instead of offering us a different room for free, we had to pay to upgrade to the AC room, which was much better. Unfortunately, we would not stay again. Good location, but there's better out there.
