All I can say is wow! We spent 4 nights here. The hosts, Marv and Janet, were super friendly and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. If you fish, there are rods, reels, boots, nets, etc etc provided for your use. If you get lucky fishing there are even freezers provided for your catch. We loved sitting out under...

This is an annual stop for us every year. It is a quaint, quiet place off the beaten path. They have three rooms available...two suites upstairs and one smaller place downstairs. The view is awesome as you sit up high overlooking the world famous Kenai River. The one draw back is the stairs going down (and back up) to the...

We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of our hosts! Very friendly and setting up the reservation and the thoughtfulness of the arrangements was much appreciated. My sister was visiting from out of state and we met here. My only little hiccup would be that the fishing at the place is not really easy to do. The water moves too fast. Otherwise,...

This was a remarkable place and the last stop before we had to fly home. We stayed 2 nights...it was so relaxing and beautiful situated right on the Kenai River. We did not use all that was offered..fishing poles, boots etc. and even a washing machine. If we had known all the amenities we would have planned to stay longer...

We spent 2 nights in the Sourdough Suite. Wonderful accommodations and the setting is beautiful. The suite has everything you could possibly need, including a gas grill on the deck overlooking the river. There is a long staircase down to the river. They have fishing rods and equipment to fish. We were there to halibut fish. Had we know how...

I’m now sitting at the backyard of the house, facing the Kenai River. Fewer than 10 meters from me are a mother moose and a calf. The pair has snuggled down by the flower bed and we’ve been looking at each other for more than an hour. This retreat is a wonderful place – there’s a large front lawn and...

These are very comfortable units set high above the Kenai River. The location is a great jumping off point for all of the Kenai Peninsula. The units are well supplied and Marv and Janet will help you with anything you might need.

We stay here every year for fishing salmon on the river. Marve and Janet continue to operate the place as usual. They are very accommodating and the place makes us feel like home every year. We book the same dates year after year and always look forward to staying at this place.

We are regular stayers at this place. Marve and Janet go out of their way to make your stay special. We have become friends with others that stay here and look forward to our trip there every year. If you like to fish, this place has river front property with easy access...assuming you can go up and down 60 stairs....

Stayed at the Sourdough unit for three nights and was one of the best places that we stayed on our two week vacation. The unit was perfect for the two of us and Janet and Marv were great folks and their hospitality just added to our great time spent there. This place is perfectly located for all of your adventures...

“Get an upstairs room over the one that is downstairs. They are much bigger and nicer, but a bit more expensive. We have stayed in both of the rooms upstairs and they are both great.”

“We prefer the Sour Dough Suite for it's location on the joint deck - avoiding the folks using the stairs. Either suite offers wonderful views of the river with "combat fishing" down below.”
