Would stay here again. Price is competitive and is in a much more appealing area than competitor hotels. Roughly a 10 minute walk from the cruise ship piers. Beautiful view of the river and mountains.

We decided to pamper ourselves after extremely long flights to Ketchikan and stayed at the Cape Fox. The building is beautiful with a comfortable lobby, views of the water, interesting historical artifacts and great totem poles. The transfers from the airport and to the Maritime Highway ferry Terminal were efficient. However there were problems that spoiled our stay and we...

Dear Brendan Thank you for your detailed review and your kind words about our beautiful hotel and my attentive staff. I will be sure to recognize Kriska at our next staff meeting. We spent last Saturday night at the Cape Fox after a week McFarlands Floatel in Thorne Bay. Cape Fox sits on a hill high above Ketchican and has breathtaking views in the town docks, Tongass Narrows and the mountains beyond. Our room was large and clean. The hotel provided free shuttle service from the float plane dock when we arrived...

The cape Fox Lodge is the nicest place to stay in Ketchikan. The views from the hotels are breathtaking and the hotels rooms are spacous & clean. However, upon checking in we found Sandy to be very rude & unprofessional. Sandy gave us incorrect information about the van that was picking us up at the airport. The young woman driving...

Dear GMA1203 Thank you for your glowing review of our Hotel; I have to admit I agree we are the nicest place to stay in Ketchikan but I may be a bit biased. Additionally, thank you for letting me know about the issue with my front desk agent. Our complimentary airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes on a preset schedule...

There is a tram that takes you up the hill to the hotel. It's $4 round trip. To get to the lodge you can also walk up the stairway which is called "Married Man's Trail". Not too many people know about the totem poles on this property. While you are there take a look inside the hotel and there is...

Dear cma6262 Thank you for telling people about our one of a kind tram “The Cape Fox Funicular” and our wonderful collection of native artifacts. Location and views can't be beat. But: no hot water by 6 pm, one coffee cup for 2 people, one creamer, key cards stopped working, poor maid service. I got the feeling they know their location will carry them. I would probably stay there again, just for that. But they could do better with a little more effort.

Dear Grace San Francisco Thank you for your review; as I promised I terminated that room attendant the following day. Additionally thanks to your notifying us so quickly, we were able to determined that the kids in the room next to you caused the momentarily loss of hot water. I do not believe a finer lodge exists in all of Ketchikan than the Cape Fox Lodge. Everything is perfect in the rooms, lounge and restaruant, as you might expect. I stay here often, on business. The views are lovely, and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is understaffed and the staff it does have are not well trained in customer service.
