We used The Cedars Lodge for fish processing on a recent trip to Ketchikan. We knew processing and shipping was expensive, so we arranged to pick our fish up on our day of departure (which was the 2nd day after our fishing excursion). We had arranged with The Cedars Lodge for some of our catch to be smoked, but we...

We booked the fishing excursion, we were fortunate to get Capt. Rich. Great guy, great experience. If you want to have a truly great experience Salmon fishing ask for Capt. Rich. Others do the same old thing, not Capt. Rich!

After a great day fishing, we bought all the fish we caught and arranged home delivery via Fedex. It's now two weeks later and we still don't have our fish. Four promised ship dates have been missed by Cedars Lodge. Today's story is that Fedex didn't include our box in their limited pick-up. Another promise of delivery tomorrow. We'll see....

We had a charter over 3 days and set up fish processing of our catch with the Cedars Lodge. We gave explicit instructions on how the 2 couples were dividing the catch...equally. Doesn't seem that hard does it? Well, after spending almost $600 to process 225 pounds of fish, they totally messed up the packing. Now we have to figure...

Overall this is a great place to fish. It's in town so you can walk everywhere. It is located on the water and the boats pick you up right in front. They provide all meals which are excellent but this may change next year as they will have a new cook after years with Linnie making everything. On the down...

I agree with many of the other reviewers. The fish processors are a total ripoff. These guys do not give back all your catch. Out of 476 pounds turned in over 4 days....we netted back to us less than 220 pounds. One halibut alone was over 100 pounds and a second was 40 and a third was 15. In our...

Not much luck fishing - we only caught 3 - but today we thawed 6 packets from the box shipped to us nearly two months ago and cooked them over an open fire. AMAZING!! Our box arrived on time with 11 pounds of salmon, which was really more than I expected from three medium-sized fish. Very well packaged - single...

Had a great time! Fish were hitting every 10 - 15 minutes for a solid 2+ hours. Kudos to Captain Kit...!! I understand other boats did not do as good as we did... Total caught (landed) in a half day trip was 14 plus the ones that got away. Breakdown - 14 landed, 7 keepers. Note: Did not rate hotel....

Imagine yourself catching wild Alaskan salmon, taking it home, and sharing dinner with your loved ones while telling stories of how you caught your delicious dinner. Unfortunately for me, that's all a fantasy. Caught almost a 14lb fish, received 6 lbs of product. It did not come frozen when it arrived. No apparent coolant packed with the box. Per the...

Used this company to process and ship the Halibut we caught. Recommended by the fishing charter company Baranof fishing. According to their flyer, you should expect 50% of hanging weight once processed. Our fish each weighed in at 8 and 8.5 lbs, but we only received 2 lbs on one and 2.5 on the other. No explanation and no one...
