We booked this hotel, because it was a short walk to board our cruise ship Our room was comfortable and certainly adequate for the one night that we were staying there. The hotel seemed to be recently renovated and our room was very clean. The concierge was so helpful, putting me in contact with an eye glass shop who fixed... More

This hotel has apparently been recently updated. Our rooms (we stayed on two separate occasions) were large and well appointed. We requested a room on the back side to avoid street noise and it was nice to be able to have an open window to keep the room cool. The service was good, though on one evening we ate in... More

Stayed here for 8 days. Rooms clean bright and airy. We're lucky enough to have great views across the gastineau channel. Only a stones throw to the harbour and shops or up the hill to the trails. The bus stop was around the corner which gave you easy access to get to airport and Mendenhall glacier. Staff were very friendly... More

It's right across the street from where Un-Cruise ships (and other small boats) depart. As others have noted, the lobby is wanting, but who cares? Our room was nice, quiet, recently redecorated in Hotel Standard-Issue Chic. We slept well. We could walk along the piers and through downtown Juneau easily. It's fun to hike up to the gulch above town,... More

We were in a newly decorated room. Very nice. Staff was wonderful. We wanted on the water this trip. Walking distance to transportation and shops. It was pouring when we were going to go out for dinner, so we ate right in the hotel. Good food.

We stayed twice at the Goldbelt (the second time was unplanned as Alaska Airlines "cancelled out flight" (baloney, we got bumped). Anyway, the Goldbelt had rooms, so we returned - happily, too. The location is perfect (downtown, on the water), the rooms are large and comfy and the staff welcoming and helpful. (a special shout-out to "Shannon from Jamaica" -... More

Beautiful view of the ships docked. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, Every one of the staff was helpful. Walking distance to town. Bus service next door for easy access to the airport. $2.00. Cabs pricey. Also utilized a shuttle from another hotel from airport. Friendly bartenders at restaurant within hotel. Check out free discount book offered before you leave... More

We've been in Juneau before, but stayed elsewhere, not realizing it was far from downtown. If you've come to Juneau without a car and don't rent one, you will want to stay downtown. Taxi's are not cheap at $25 a pop, and shuttles don't always run when you need them, nuff said. I spotted this hotel and decided I would... More

This was my second stay at the Goldbelt Hotel. The is a nice property in downtown Juneau just down the street from the Cruise Ship Terminal. Walking distance to great restaurants and Mt Roberts. The best part of our stay was the employees who greeted us each day. Special shout out to Shannon and Steven who went above and beyond... More

Hotel was ok but very dated. Staff didn't have the customer service quality you find at a Starwood or Hilton hotel. It seemed that the tried giving a face lift but fresh paint still showed all the wear and tear underneath. Was expensive for this quality at $200/night. Did have free wifi which was a plus.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are in the process of turning the Goldbelt hotel into a Four Points by Sheraton Juneau by October. So far we have completed the floor by floor renovations, new "Free" high-speed Wi-Fi installed, repaved our parking lots, and McGiveney's Sports Bar & Grill has officially opened and is the best restaurant in town! They are opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. ***The Goldbelt Hotel has free but limited parking for hotel guests since we are centrally located downtown. Please understand that parking is first come, first serve, but there are many public parking options available in the Downtown Juneau area.*** ... more   less
