Had heard that the Goldbelt Hotel was remodeling all its rooms, so decided to give it a try. According to their website, the remodeling was done and they have a new fitness center! Turns out that's an aspirational statement - remodeling still underway, and no fitness center. They nicely offered to call the Baranoff so I could use their fitness...

My wife and I stayed for about a week in Aug 2015. The lower floor was under remodel but the close proximity to Downtown made up for a lot. Our 4th floor room had a beautiful bay view where we could watch the cruise ships sail in and out. Staff was friendly but seemed a little young and out of...

The Goldbelt is in the process of remodeling, so if you are staying in during the daytime be prepare for some loud noises. I cannot wait until the remodels done and see how it is. You can see that there are coming along and it looks great. There is a restaurant in the hotel with great food. Parking is limited...

I stayed at this hotel for business purposes and found it in the perfect location - near a wonderful historic downtown. I was able to walk easily to all the best restaurants in the city (The Hanger, McGivney's (in the hotel), El Sombrero (best Mexican), Red Dog Saloon, and the Sandpiper to name a few. Heritage Coffee Café (coffee beans...

I would have liked to give a better rating however there was a major remodel going on during our stay. The lobby had sticky floors because the flooring had been removed, plastic over everything, and lots of dust. The fire alarm went off due to the dust. We started evacuation till we found out it was the dust that caused...

I was in town for business and the hotel provided a central location to my meeting and things to do. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is under renovations, but that didn't impede my stay. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night before embarking on an Un-cruise adventure. This was a very handy location. The room was fine, nothing fancy. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant below was fine, although service was a little slow - I think they were understaffed. We loved our cruise!

I recently had some business to conduct in Juneau, and enjoyed our stay at the Goldbelt. Much better than the Grandma's Feather Bed (that location had awkward spaces). For business, this spot works great especially if you are working downtown. My only issue was ironing board breaking and they didn't have a replacement. They even seemed a little confused that...

Horrible hotel. Construction at the main entrance seemed to be fine until we started to hear drilling all the way to the third floor. Staff not available to ask questions and when we approached front desk, he didn't like it at all. I understand that renovations are needed, but there should be more consideration for guests. No information about the...

The hotel has a great location and amazing views for the cruise ships! The room are in great shape and have nice beds. There is a restaurant in the building that has really good food. I was near the elevator which is woke me up a few times. That was the only downfall.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are in the process of turning the Goldbelt hotel into a Four Points by Sheraton Juneau by October. So far we have completed the floor by floor renovations, new "Free" high-speed Wi-Fi installed, repaved our parking lots, and McGiveney's Sports Bar & Grill has officially opened and is the best restaurant in town! They are opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. ***The Goldbelt Hotel has free but limited parking for hotel guests since we are centrally located downtown. Please understand that parking is first come, first serve, but there are many public parking options available in the Downtown Juneau area.*** ... more   less
