A friend and I had rented a 25 foot RV in Anchorage and just headed down the Kenai with no plans or reservations. We were fortunate to find Homer Spit Campground and they had a spot for us. Very busy , but we were pleased with view, atmosphere, laundry facilities, full hook up. Close to all activity on the Spit....

it is a parking lot but it's a parking lot that looks out over the ocean so...I liked it. First row is saved for tents, second row is rv parking w/o hookups, third row is either water only or electric only and 4th row is full hookup. Each row is back from the beach so by the time you hit...

I had a week long stay in a tent as my home base for fishing. Campground is mainly occupied by campers and rvs. Tent sites are in the best part of the campground, overlooking the water and beach. Showers are $1 a pop, rustic but clean. Coin laundry on site. For tent dwellers, no flooding issues despite a week of...

Tucked away at the end of the spit, this campground has been wonderful every time I've been to it. I just figured it's about time I review it. I have always parked by the beach. We were in 98 and it was great. We have a pop up so it worked wonderful. We don't need any hookups as our visit...

Very nice ladies at the reception. We could choose ourself the site. Second raw is nice. Fireplace, picnic table, you don´t need more, cause you have this gorgeous view. :-) To walk to the shops and restaurants take you only some minutes..Pay attention, the raves are very aggresive. :-)But we saw also Seaotter swimming close to the shoreline. Eagles are...

The location is great, right on the ocean almost at the end of the Homer spit walking distance to dozens of restaurants. No trees, gravel sites, facilites a bit run down, BUT, we had the best wifi connection we've found at a campground in Alaska! If you have to get some reservations made on a ferry, do some online banking,...

This campground is a parking lot but the location is great. It is almost at the end of the Homer Spit with lots of shops and places to eat within a quick walk away. We stayed in a dry site right in front of the beach and would recommend as we really liked the unobstructed view of the water and...

We are locals and have been visiting this place a long time. It is on the spit at the end. It has logs that separate the spaces for you to stay. It is rustic. There are fire pits and picnic tables. It has amazing views if on the beach or sides of the beach. The laundry works great and the...

Great place to stay on the Spit. Beautiful setting. Nice staff. Clean bathrooms. Showers cost $1 but are hot and as long as you like. Wifi works in the laundry room across from the office. A short walk to the shops, restaurants, and harbor.

We stayed four nights in a dry oceanfront spot; pulled out every day to run uptown or drain & fill. Loved being right on the beach! The shower rooms are a bit rustic but clean, as were the restrooms. The laundry got crowded on a rainy afternoon but we all visited and had a good time. Staff was very friendly...
