To break the trip from Fairbanks to Valdez we opted to stay at Glennallen, and while it's more than half way, it's a great spot because the last section between Glennallen and Valdez is spectacular. The B&B was very comfortable after a long drive, the room was spacious and the breakfast was hearty. The hosts were very welcoming and very...

We were traveling to Anchorage after getting off the ferry in Haines and decided to take an extra day on the drive and stop in Glennallen. I am very glad we did. The photos of this place are amazing but it was even better in person. Cynthia was out front when we drove up and made us feel very welcome....

The owner, Eric, is very welcoming, the rooms generously sized and equipped, and he cooks a good breakfast from natural local ingredients. Within reach of everything in Glennallen, with Eric is happy to provide local lore and visit suggestions based on many prior years experience working with the Forest Service.

Our hosts, Cynthia and Eric, made us feel right at home in their rustic log home. They let us cook our salmon and Halibut on their grill and literally turned their kitchen over to us. Breakfasts were cooked by Eric and were either French toast or waffles and fresh fruit with homemade jam. We had the front bedroom downstairs and...

Made to feel at home as soon as we arrived, we visited off season so had a choice of rooms. Loved the rustic open plan layout, was great as it encouraged everyone to congregate in and around the kitchen area and have a good old blether. Breakfast was fine had a choice of all the usual continental stuff, or alternatively...

Good B&B with friendly and helpful owners. Room and bed were ok. Bathroom was in room but had very small shower stall. Bathroom and bedroom doors did not completely close, so construction seemed rustic. Heard other guests using their bathroom and talking in open kitchen/dinning area. The breakfast was good with Eric making homemade waffles. Honey, syrup and other food...

Enjoyed a pleasant one night stay while traveling between Anchorage and Wrangell St Elias National Park. This was a good place to overnight before entering the wilderness area (convenient, large IGA grocery store, several small restaurants), near National Park Visitor Center for introduction to the largest national park in the US. Hosts (Eric & Cynthia) provided helpful insight into touring...

Eric & Cynthia made us feel totally at home and very flexible as we checked in very late. Continental breakfast was set out since we had to leave early our first morning. We enjoyed the indoor shuffle board table. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable in this log cabin. One of the few places on our 8 day trip that...

The hosts were very friendly, and we enjoyed the nice rec room for hanging out. We had a good breakfast of waffles and fresh fruit. The room, however, had some issues. It was poorly lit (especially the bathroom) and the bed sagged somewhat. But the real difficulty was the tiny shower. My tall husband kept banging his elbows against the...
