We landed on Aitutaki about 1,5 weeks after Cyclone Pat had visited the island and we were prepared for the worst after talking to several people on the neighbouring Rarotonga. Although the island was hit pretty bad and you could not escape the damage which was done while trotting around the island (which we love to do), everybody was doing...

Our time at Etu Moana and Aitutaki was wonderful and I was tearful when we left. It was at the top end of our budget and I am so glad we chose it. We have done quite a lot of travelling in many areas of the world and I suspect it has ruined mid-range accommodation for us. What I mean...

Firstly i am very surprised to read the post below with regards to the negative review of Etu Moana...I can certainly say, that it is totally wrong....The resort is Paradise and the staff and owners Joanne and Jim are amazingly hospitable and go out of their way to make every minute of your stay enjoyable, there isn't nothing they wouldn't...

We managed to stay at the Two Trip advisor Number 1 places on both Rarotonga and here on aitutaki (ETU MOANA) We were lucky to arrive shortly after the cyclone and for what is close to the middle of the pacific it was 100% business as usual in a high quality establishment, which we soon learned was the due to...

It is somewhat strange to review a hotel that I have not stayed but let me say that my experience with the staff and management was refreshing experience. We had confirmed bookings for a 4 nights stay towards the end of February. and paid 6 months previously a deposit of 50% of the cost of the accommodation.Unfortunately, much the island...

Etu Moana is the most beautiful place to stay in Aitutaki. It has a beautiful garden around their nice beach villas. They keep the beachfront clean and you really feel you are in paradise. It looks so much nicer than for instance the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort or Tamanu Beach, where we stayed. And it is less expensive too! The manager...

Aitutaki is PARADISE! We arrived a couple of weeks after cyclone Pat had hit, so we saw quite a bit of damage to the island but there was a lot of help to get the island back to normal. Despite travelling during the rainy season on our 3 day visit to Aitutaki, we had such a great time in this...

My partner and I have very high expectations of Etu Moana from all of the glowing reviews here on TripAdvisor and we were not disapointed. Joanne & Jim are so lovely and nothing you ask is too much. We felt a part of their family not just their guests. The villas are beautiful with teak furniture & timber floors, full...

Despite Cyclone Pat, which happened on the second day of our three-week stay. There was little disruption at Etu Moana but life outside was a different story. A massive effort to bring things back to normal transformed the island by the time we had left. Through all of this, Jo-Anne and Jim and all the staff at Etu Moana were...

Despite having just been hit by Cyclone Pat, we couldn't have wished for a better place to honeymoon. The villas are just gorgeous, and we spent many hours in the pool, snorkelling in the nearby lagoon, and enjoying the stock in the honesty bar. The Etu Moana team were great tour guides, suggesting the best places to eat and things...
