3 of us stayed here last weekend (4th - 6th March) Unfortunately we arrived later then expected due to us doing the vaka cruise. When we did arrive nobody was there all the numbers that we tried to contact that were on the reception door were going to answering machines. The lady then arrived she was annoyed that we were...

We stayed 5 nights and had a lovely experience. The accommodation was relatively budget but clean, well equipped for the basics, had A/C in the bedroom. The pool was a nice refresher from the lagoon. It was in walking distance to the Boat Shed Restaurant, Poporoa Car Rental and Koru Cafe. Next door was also a restaurant. The mangers will...

Awesome place to get away and unwind. Steve and Quinton the owner/operators were awesome and very friendly. Quinton also runs the 'Wet 'n' Wild boat charters and has separate bungalows on his property. Steve manages Ranginui's retreat which is down the road from Quinton, Whether you're looking to go kite surfing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling or spearfishing then Steve and...

Ranginui's are basic bungalows right on the water. The rooms are clean and tidy which a double bed, kitchenette and shower with eco drop toilet. We didn't experience any hassles or smells with the toilet - just remember to keep the lid closed. We were picked up and dropped back to the airport by Lani which made things easy for...

Not a five star but it has everything you need. If you don't spend alot of time sitting in your room then this provides a good place to sleep, cheap, clean, good service. Steve helped us get lagoon tours when our regular tour cancelled. He provided a place to shower when our tour ended up on the day of our...

Ranginui's Retreat has 8 bungalows complete with ensuite and kitchen to be fully self-catering. All bungalows face the retreat's beach. You can use the sea kayaks to explore this part of the lagoon. With lots of sandbanks around it is really safe to explore the motu's to the south where you also find corals. At the beach it is save...

The best thing about staying here is by far the location. Over looking a beautiful lagoon where you can go paddle boarding and kayaking, they are free to use - another plus point! The actual bungalow is basic but we had everything we needed to manage to cook in the evenings. If you can, take some food with you from...

I stayed at the ranginui sunset for 6 night and was a good place to stay, there are 3 villa/cabins right on the beach and the best place to snorkel on the island, you will need to hire scooters or a car as town is about a 10min ride. The cabins are self contained but you will need to provide...

We've stayed here on 2 occasions and both have been pleasant. The accommodation is simple and clean. Small kitchen with most things you need. Comfortable bed, table and chairs, spare bed, composting toilet, shower ran hot and cold but mostly showered cold anyway. Air con was available at an extra cost but we didn't use it, had a ceiling fan...

We had been staying at another place on Aitutaki on the outside of the lagoon and had a great experience and we were so looking forward to our inside lagoon stay. However, it was such a disappointment. We had booked back in March (staying in November). When we were finally picked up (waiting 1 hour 10 mins) we were shown...
