If you want to stay in San Jose then consider this place. The staff will eagerly help you plan an itinerary or make recommendations to you for any travel needs you might have. It is clean with a pleasant garden. They have fresh fruit, bread and coffee every day for breakfast free of charge with the option to buy an...

Everything about our stay here was easy. My request for a reservation was responded to promptly. I was able to pay before I got here via paypal, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Owner/Manager was quick to help us find bus fare and he even arranged pick up for us at the airport for less than prepaid rate. Very...

It is with regret that I must submit this review to Trip Advisor. Is it the foolish tourist or is it the unscrupulous business owner? I reserved a room online for the 17th and 18th of February at the Casa 69. Apparently, a credit card was charged for this amount on the day I made the reservation, as it was...

The guest knew he had paid, I had confirmed receipt of payment and he never paid here in cash. Some people are crooks and like to get a free ride, no matter at what cost. Kurt Menn CASA...

My husband and I stayed here for one night when we arrived in San Jose. They had a cab waiting for us at the airport and the driver was very helpful even though we couldn't speak a word of Spanish. He pointed out things on the drive which we found very interesting. The drive to Casa 69 took us through...

Kurt and the gang provide an exceedingly relaxing and homely environment in a not so pretty city. We used Casa 69 as our launch pad while traveling through Costa Rica for 3 months. Each time we returned (we stayed on four separate occasions) we were treated like family, enjoying cocktails on the patio with the staff, who recommended wonderful places...

We found what we were looking for - a friendly face and personal touch in new and somewhat intimidating ( if you believe the guidebooks on San Jose!) surroundings. Kurt and his excellent staff made us feel welcome and were very helpful with suggestions and directions ,assisting us to feel more comfortable with the city. The accommodation was clean and...
