At Gaudy's you truly feel at home. The place is spacious, well ventilated, comfortable and the staff makes the most they can to help you feel comfortable and to ensure that your stay at CR is going to be a memorable one. Certainly it was for me. Ps: They brew an awesome coffee in the mornings!

I got stranded in San Jose due to a volcanic eruption and the cab driver took us to Gaudy's. The place is amazing. The rooms were comfy and clean. The facilities were nice. There were all the amenities of a regular house. The free breakfast was delicious. Could not have ended up at a nicer place.

Gaudy's Hostel in San Jose, Costa Rica is a clean and beautifully structured decorated building, with vaulted ceilings letting in natural light and as well as a direst line to the sky upstairs. They have a pancake breakfast with fruit and you can use the kitchen to cook. The mattresses on the beds are in good shape. Two of the...

Ohhh my good friend John, you know that we saw this comming.....Anyway, we really used to enjoy your company but when you started acting like none of the staff members, (except Deivid) exist, just waking up and walking next to them without using the simple "goos morning, please, thank you" things where awkward, the "poorly treat" you mentioned, was not...

We enjoyed our stay. Everything is very clean. We appreciated all the direction and help the staff has offered. If i would change anything it would be that the Internet was better on the 2nd floor and that they would accept credit cards. Other than that everything was good.

The staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly and the location great. We only stayed one short night so didn't get to enjoy the amenities. Nice layout and space. We had private room number 3 with it's own bathroom. It had a nice seating area outside and good wifi reception. The room though had little air circulation so we...

We had a private room with a balcony facing the street - try to avoid iit - it was very loud. There is a pancake breakkfast included and a supermarket very close. The receptionist gave us wrong advice about the bus location - which nearly caused us missing the once a day bus. Also it felt a bit overpriced for...

This place was a haven for a first-time hostel visitor like me! Everything was clean, professional and friendly - and I was able to meet some really friendly and relaxed people. It's also walkable to a grocery store, and a few restaurants. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone staying in San Jose - you can rent an individual room,...

This peaceful hostel is located away from the hustle and bustle of San Jose. Staff are friendly and helpful, and they offer an airport pick up service. Breakfast of pancakes and fresh fruit was delicious. The private room was clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable, with nice shower and bathroom. This is a great hostel if you want a good...

When you come to San Jose, STAY AT GAUDY'S! My fiance and I moved to Costa Rica to teach English and we were lucky enough to stay at Gaudy's for just short of two weeks while we were interviewing. When we first got to San Jose, we figured we culd always switch to a different hostel if we so chose....
