We stayed here at both ends of our Costa Rica trip and it was very comfortable and convenient. We really enjoyed all of the paintings in the rooms and particular the public areas of the hotel. The layout is slightly confusing as it is arranged across different wings and levels on a steeply sloping site - most of the rooms...

It's near the center but the hotel need remodeling. It's old and never changed over decades. It's a okay hotel for typical buss - loads of tourists. Breakfast is simple and not good enough. The main reviews are indeed 3 stars. The rooms and beds are okay. But I wouldn't recommend it to my clients. Staff is very friendly. .

Good sized room and reasonably quiet. Shower and AC worked?! (A bonus in this area), the water was hot and pressure reasonable. The AC was hidden a low level behind a spare bed, but once found worked well. Breakfast buffet included and ok. WiFi available in reception. Nice pool in garden out the back. Bar was shut before 10:00pm

Stayed here 1 night on a group tour. On the plus side it's in a fairly quiet bit of town, the staff are friendly and speak good English, and breakfast is OK. Not exceptional but enough to fill you for a morning (scrambled eggs, the ubiquitous rice and red beans, sausages, small thick pancakes and some croissants/Danish pastries) You can...

Good things first as the list is shorter. Breakfast was OK and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Unfortunately it felt like there was no air in the room so even if you could sleep through the traffic and birds and people chatting you couldn't sleep. Our favourite was when someone started cashing up the till at 5.45 in the morning....

This hotel was booked for us as part of a group from the UK. We arrived late, our reservation was in order and we were quickly in bed with the minimal of formalities. Our room was reasonably quiet although some rooms are very noisy, from traffic. Carry and use good quality ear plugs. Breakfast, included, was fulsome and the swimming...

Our group arrived from international flights tired and ready for bed and the reception staff were quick and efficient, but there is no welcome drink. The rooms are OK; but no safe, no kettle, tea or coffee and no bottled water (but the tap water appears to be safe). Our room had a bath with shower, but the fittings are...

Check in very slow as they don't use computers everything was hand written. So after 2 flights all way from UK I didn't really want to be standing there with them telling us we don't have a reservation for you till another 3 weeks wven though I had the confirmation print out... Anyway I suppose the staff did resolve it...

I stay here for a night every year with a group of teachers taking a course I teach at the Organization for Tropical Studies. Basic accommodations, nothing to write home about, but very reasonably priced and good value for the money (which is why I stay there with a group; we need to watch the course budget). Positives: dependably clean,...

We were on a package and arrived at this hotel after a long flight. The hotel is past its prime, and needs a refurbishment. The first room we had was tired and grubby. The rooms are superficially clean. The carpets were stained and the bathroom need a steam clean. It was best not to look at the tiles and joints...
