Located somewhat outside the center of San Jose, but still in a residential neighborhood, this hotel looks to have been up market and good years ago, but has faded. Our room, in particular the bathroom, was sparse (at best), not very well cleaned. Staff was friendly, but could not make up for the lack of facilities. Breakfast was minimal (compared...

The Bergerac is a short taxi ride to the main part of San Jose city but is walking distance to the shopping centre and plenty of restaurants. The hotel has a very nice feel about it and our room was clean and pleasant with a safe, TV and desk. There was free water available and a couple of nice sitting...

Old school hotel. Located near a Starbucks if you like coffee. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is no AC which is a bummer. Wifi works well. Staff is friendly. My room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. Maybe a little less chemicals isn't a bad idea.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of a self drive tour of Costa Rica and for 1 night at the end. I have reviewed all 5 hotels we stayed at as part of our Llama Tours holiday from the UK if you wish to see the others. We arrived at 10.00 pm after travelling for 25 hours....

I stayed here at the start and end of my trip through Costa Rica. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. There's a Starbucks a minute's walk up the street, a supermarket just a bit further as well as a number of sodas and restaurants in the neighbourhood. It's an easy 15-20 minute walk to downtown, but it's...

Stayed 2 nights at the start of a 2 week tour of Costa Rica and 1 night at the end. It is in a nice location and the rooms pleasant, but dated. The biggest issue is there is NO food or drink available - apart from a cold water filter in reception and breakfast! We could not get a coffee...

We'd been allocated a room at Le Bergerac to start and end our trip to Costa Rica, and this was an ideal suggestion. On our arrival we were given a ground floor room with a tiny little secret garden - perfect for sitting and enjoying the last of the sunshine. At the end of our holiday we returned for one...

Room was clean, shower was hot (took a bit for hot water to come) and staff were helpful and friendly. I was in a room near the street and it was quite loud, but bed was comfy and slept well. I'm not an expert on San Jose or its attractions, so can't comment on its location except to say was...

The hotel is lovely building a ob a s k opibg site. The upper rooms have balconies but my room at the bottom opened onto a garden which I loved . The theme is Cyrano de Bergerac and there are lovely touches throughout. Paintings posters and even a beautiful stained glass window . Rooms are comfortable spacious and clean and...

I stayed here for 4 nights as part of, and at the end of, a tour. Each room I had was spacious and comfortable, especially the last one which lead out into a very pretty garden. There is a little passing traffic but it is very quiet at night time. The staff are super helpful and friendly. I didn't eat...
