It's a basic hotel, clean with friendly staff. No frills, just a clean bed and shower was what I needed and it fit the bill. Location is a bit out of the way, but coffee shops and eateries are nearby. Breakfast isn't bad. Wi-fi is useless everywhere except for the lobby.

Situated around 15 minutes walk from the national museum. Close to a restaurant street with good and trendy outlets. Large clean room that was quite worn down. Ok breakfast with omelette or pancakes. They are serving both lunch and dinner.

Went in low period so the hotel was quiet. They do not do evening food so you will have to go out for it, if you turn left at Starbucks cross the road and then go right you will find yourself on a road with a few very nice restaurants BUT they are not as cheap as we were lead...

Over all the hotel was pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was plenty of hot water in the shower (important to me as I love my showers). The location is in one of the better neighborhoods of San Jose, with a fair number of restaurants and shops nearby, and within reasonable walking distance of the center of San...

If you want to be in the centre of San Jose, do not stay here. It is a good 20 - 30 minute walk from San Jose centre. There is a shopping mall about 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to the centre. Don't expect great they are novelty shops. But you can find a great food market in...

This is a really nice hotel, clean and friendly and is located in a part of town that is close to some nice bars. It is a good walk into the centre of town but if you don't mind walking, it's not difficult to find as the hotel is just off the main road that takes you in to the...

The only convenient thing about the hotel is that it is only 15 mins walk to the centre of San Jose and it is in a very 'foodie' area so you have lots of good restaurants to go to. This hotel has changed hands in the last 3 months- and there are more than a few teething problems. 1. The...

The hotel is in the nice neighborhood of Los Yoses. I liked the fact that it was relatively quiet (morning construction noise from next door) while being convenient (10 minutes/$4 cab/on bus lines) to downtown and Hospital Clinica Biblica, and also close to San Pedro with the University of Costa Rica/shopping. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was...

Rooms vary greatly in size, but all very clean. I was on the bottom level of the hotel and found its together quarters to be cozy and all that I needed. Other people who I was with stayed on the upper level and had larger rooms with walk-in closets. Showers get very hot, a luxury in Central America. Did not...

The hotel was well kept and had lovely gardens. The street traffic was noisy, but I'm guessing that is common throughout San Jose. I thought breakfast was included, but at check-in I was informed that is only the case when the room costs at least $60. The $7 breakfast however was good. I got the "typical" : rice and beans,...
