I should preface this by stating that I haven't actually spent any time in San Jose OUTSIDE of the Don Carlos. We booked our trip through Costa Rica Sun Tours, and they took care of making these arrangements for us, but I can absolutely say...More

Under normal circumstance, I would’ve given this hotel a decent rating, however, several events unfolded that ruined an otherwise perfect vacation. Upon arriving to the airport at 4am, I realized that the camera I took out of my bag the night before to take a...More

This was out second time staying at Hotel Don Carlos. We love it! Old and charming hotel in a nice part of San Jose. Great place to stay when you arrive in Costa Rica and a nice place to stay the night before you leave...More

I stayed at Hotel Don Carlos this time and was extremely satisfied. The room was clean and the ceiling fan was more than enough. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The Hotel is away from the busier streets in this area and at night it was...More

I don't know if it is available for the dates you need, but I had room #6 when I was there. It has two large beds. I believe that it came to $71 US taxes in per night. Great room, very clean.
