I enjoy the hotel and most of the staff, however many travelers rely on wireless internet to do business etc. I stayed the night of Jan 31st 2013 and could not connect to the wireless. So I called the front desk only to be told I needed to restart my laptop. I did everything possible to troubleshoot the problem and...

Dear guest: We appreciate your commentary. We’re always trying to provide our guest with the best internet service. We regret all the problems you’ve been trough with the WiFi. We have checked once again the system and installed more routers in specific areas in order to assure our customers with the most efficient internet connection.

I only stayed here for one night as I try to avoid the larger cities, but it was necessary to be in San Jose for my bus connections. The Hotel is a combination of several old houses with joining open areas of plants and common seating areas. The staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful with all my questions...

I have been going to Hotel Aranjuez for 11 years and have never had a bad stay! It's clean, friendly, beautifully furnished, a 5 minute walk to downtown San Jose and the breakfast is fresh and delicious every time! Such a feast! The staff at the front desk is always happy to help any way they can, even calling companies...

Great hotel based on the reception and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, the style and setting of the hotel with all its spots to sit and relax, and a breakfast buffet that is unbeatable. I will be back, for sure, and have suggested it to others travelling through San Jose.

I stayed here just one night, the plane landed at 18:30 at San Jose and I was picked up at the hotel by a shuttle the next morning at 8:30. It's place is perfect for you if you need to spend a single night in San Jose. Perhaps it's just me, but there a far better cities in the world...

Thank you for your commentary about Hotel Aranjuez and our buffet breakfast. We are always aware of how to improve this service: looking for new recipes using fresh ingredients acquired directly from costarican producers at the Market and experiencing different ways of presenting our breakfast. We hope that if you ever have to stop once again in San José, Hotel...

My husband and I disagree about this place. It had a lot going for it, though. The breakfast is great, lots of selection, great fruit, and breads, tons of stuff, you will not leave hungry. The staff at the front are great, too. I had an emergency and needed an ER when we got there, and they helped us figure...

We much appreciate the feedback that your commentary brings us. We are surprise about the water problem. As you know, as eco-friendly hotel, we use solar panels for heating water. In any case, an electrical system works out in case of any problem with the solar panels. Thank you for aware us about this water problem, our Maintenance staff is...

We started and ended our trip at Hotel Aranjuez, based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived at 11pm and the guy at the desk welcomed us and showed us our room (a double with a shared bathroom). The bathrooms were quite close and we never waited for a shower. The hotel is located in an older part of town...

We started our trip to Costa Rica with a four night stay at Aranjuez Hotel as it had been recommended by the apartment manager where we stay in Quepos. This was our first stop on our trip to Costa Rica in Mid-May 2012. It was really great. We were looking for 'different' experiences throughout our trip and this fit the bill. If you are looking for a clean and friendly place in San José, this is where you should go. We much appreciate your commentary about your lodging experience at Hotel Aranjuez. We have been working in isolating the rooms, but in some cases, due the patrimony structure of the houses, we are forbidden to do it. About the doors, they are part of the patrimony structure for the houses. In any case, we are going to make some improvements...
