The place was fine. Cute, small rooms. Good for a short layover on the way out to Corcovado but its really not where it says it is on the map (at least on booking.com). We booked it because we had baggage and that was the main reason for the choice, pretty damn inconvenient as

When my bus arrived at night, in a town I'd never been in, I was worried about finding my hostel. Omar the Italian owner was waiting at the bus stop to escort me to his cabinas. When it was time to go to the Bella Horizonte Hostel, he arranged for me to get a ride there. He

Omar, the owner was really friendly and knows a lot about everything in the area ! Rooms are simple, but it has everything you need and he'll be happy to store your luggage while you're trekking in Corcovado. Be sure to ask Omar for a coconut, he'll be happy to open it for you :)

"There are really only a couple rooms because it is more a guesthouse not really a typical hostel... a bit rustic (cold water, a few bugs here and there) but what do you expect, the whole town's practically in the middle of the rainforest... which we thought was awesome. Get up early and watch the scarlet macaws and ibises flying overhead and you will know what we mean."
