We missed our boat from PJ to Golfito and ended up at Cabinas Jimenez. Initially eager to catch the first boat the following day, we were so happy at the cabinas that we spent an additional night. Because we were there in the low season, we were given a very great rate. I especially loved that the price included the...

We intended just to stay a couple days at the cabinas, but extended our stay for a full week. The pool was delightful, the kayaks and bikes made getting around the golfo and town a joy. The staff is super helpful, Juan Carlos was especially helpful arranging outings for me and my kids.

We stayed one night at the poolside and two nights at the waterfront bungalow. And the upgrade is worth the extra money. The Staff is very helpfull and friendly. We had a very nice time there. Complimentary Kayaks and Bicycles was a nice detail. The rooms were clean.

We stayed at the Cabinas for about 2 weeks. First week in the Bungalow and the rest in the poolside rooms. The poolside rooms were small but well kept and very clean with a nice little patio area out front. The pool, while small, is fantastic. I spent a lot of time soaking in the jacuzzi bubbles. The bungalow.... LOVED...

Cabinas Jimenez was our first stop after leaving San Jose. We upgraded to the lower Rancho and it was worth it. The staff were very friendly. We made use of the bicycles and kayaks and enjoyed our visits to town, beaches and crocodiles. We found eating out to be very expensive but found some good deals at the local bakery (best...

Hi, I agree with you that the disco is very annoying and loud. I have been trying to talk to the owner about lowering the volume of music, [ not asking much... ] for years now, without any luck... I'll keep on trying.... John owner of Cabinas Jimenez

We stayed here for 3 nights (with a night in between in the park) and found it to be fair for the price. The rooms are basic but its within walking distance to the town and shops and there is also a swimming pool with jets that are a help after a long hike

Clean, fair price, large rooms, nice patio, many hammocks, tiny pool. Activities offered such as free kayaking. We passed up lovely sweets that could sleep 6-8 with a beautiful view. Pleasant enough employees. No coffee offered in the morning???

At ≈$US70/night, Cabinas Jimenez was a good bargain. Toured some other lodgings, and saw no other places that compared. All else seemed to be ultra-cheap / ultra-spartan hostel-like facilities, or chic resorts for multi-$US100’s per night. Located quietly at the end of town. Limited gated parking, but had no security problems parking rental on road at front gate. Stayed in...
