This is one of the most impressive resorts we have ever visited. The eco-tour opportunities are out of the world. The local area is beautiful and the opportunities seemingly endless. They have truly impressive fishing grounds, with excellent facilities and first-rate guides.

Absolutely amazing! There is no place like Crocodile Bay Resort - a beautiful oasis in the South of Coast Rica that is blooming with life. If you need to unwind and center yourself back with nature, this is the place for you. From beautiful whales to tropical birds to postcard

I guess now I have to explain that title. I wanted to go to Costa Rica and go down a zipline. Due to work schedules and getting things in order, ie living I was just able to do some chipping away at planning my trip. I heard of Crocodile Bay Resort and that's about all. I had

Croc bay was awesome. The people, the rooms, the eco tours were all top notch. The food wonderful. My husband and I went fishing with Javier and caught tuna, mahi mahi, rooster and a jack. My eco tour with Diego was so fun.

How difficult is it to get there from the airport in San Jose. Do you have weekly rates, mostly interested in photographing wildlife and birds. james
35 minutes flight from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez. Crocodile Bay is literally 3 minutes from the airport. They will meet you at the airport to take you to the lodge.

Weather -wise (rainy season, etc) when is the best time to go?
We went in February experienced the dry season, warm to some people comfortable to me. Our return trip was Oct. 18 2017, everything was lush and green, cool with burst of humidity. October is a slow month there was just 5 of us at the resort. The staff treated us like we were family. In my conversation with Ms. Olympia, November is the beginning of the season for them. While we did have some rain it was always in the late afternoon or through the night all clear for the next morning.

My family and I are visiting you in December and wanted some prices of the different excursions to decide which we would like to do prior to the trip. Do you have this information please?

Can you keep your catch? Do you process, clean, vacuum pack, and freeze fish to take back home?
They would keep a few edible fish that would be served as your dinner that day. Most of what we caught was catch & release, especially Sailfish & Marlin. There was no vacuum packing or freezing of any fish that I was aware of.

Definitely book a 2nd floor room. We just returned on Jan 1, 2016. This is an amazing place for not only fishing but so much more. We wish we had more time for the adventure/ecotours. I could not believe how much my 15 year old son and I learned. Plus the food and staff were absolutely incredible! You must go!
