Amazing, incredible, stunning….none of these words do La Leona and Corcovado justice. I have wanted to go to Costa Rica for many years and finally pulled the trigger with cheap Spirit Airline tickets. I travelled with my five year old son and 1 year old daughter and everything about our weeklong stay and the place was absolutely perfect. From the...

This was our second stay at La Leona. We found it as delightful this time as the last time 2 yrs ago. This lodge in remote Osa peninsula just steps from Corcovado National is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers. Getting there is a bit of an adventure in itself. We flew to from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez,...

This was an incredible place, but keep in mind it was a rustic and remote site on the edge of the jungle and National Park (I'm rating it for what it is and tries to be, a great jungle eco-resort). The chef Pablo was amazing. If you don't speak Spanish you may struggle a bit with some of the staff,...

What an experience ! We are experienced travellers, but this is our of proportion. Great location in the rainforest at the Pacific. Closest lodge to the Corcovado National Park. Comfortable tents, great food, excellent service, very friendly and helpful young staff. But if you cannot survive without hot water, internet, mobile phone, or phone at all, don't go there. For...

La Leona Lodge is about as good as it gets for a remote, rainforest vacation. We booked l The last Week of April and the first week of May and the weather was perfect....not too hot and only brief showers in the afternoon. The people at the lodge bent over backwards to accommodate us Since space was available we were...

If you like real PURA VIDA - put yourself off-grid and choose luxury of breathtaking nature, good food and service, this is the right place. I was super satisfied with my 3 night stay here. First, location, location, location! It's seriously nowhere in nowhere, so far from cities and even villages, just next to the national park. No wifi, no...

The La Leona Lodge is a beautiful place to stay aesthetically. Wonderful attention to art throught the grounds, the gardening, the view. One can appreciate life's daily rhythms watching the pelicans fly by or the macaws screech overhead. Things to consider: it is a hike in from the Carate air strip. Less than an hour walking at a leisurely place....

We arrived after a full day of traveling. This was the most pristine area I have ever seen! The park ranger spoke good English and took on us hikes through the rainforest while teaching us all about the plants, history and the animals. He was so nice. You have to go there and see this! I've never had so much...

We loved the La Leona lodge. Getting there is an adventure. It's about 45km drive from Puerto Jiminez to Carate and the road isn't great, we definitely needed our 4x4, wouldn't attempt it in a regular car. There are also fairly deep rivers to ford on the way. Then it's a 3km hike along the hot beach to La Leona....
