We were a little apprehensive about our visit. We knew there would not be hot water and that the accommodation would be a little rustic but what exactly were we letting ourselves in for?! We decided to play it safe and book for just three nights. That was our only mistake. We should have stayed for six!! The inn itself...

My fiance and I stayed at the Lookout Inn at the end of August, beginning of September, and it was the most magical experience of my life. If you're looking for a place where you can truly be in touch with nature, at the heart of this incredibly wild and beautiful country, and meet some of the most open, kind,...

We visited the Look Out Inn while staying in a private rental in Cabo Matapalo. Terry is the most hospitable host you will ever meet. All though we were not staying at the Look Out, he provided us with with kayak rentals, provided walking sticks and maps so we could take self guided tours and always had the COLDEST BEER...

As the title says, never want to leave. The staff were so welcoming, the food was awesome (seriously, if you stayed more than a few days you would put on the pounds!!) and the inn was spectacular. We saw so many animals just around our lodge - it really was an unspoiled paradise. We stayed in the Tike huts -...

Wonderful location. The inn was something out of swiss family robinson. The food was fantastic and Terry and Katya were wonderful hosts. Toucans, macaws, tons of hummingbirds, owls, hawks, monkeys, coatis and sloths abound. Cant wait to return.

I love nature and have been to Costa Rica around 15 times since 1991. Why is it that the last seven visits have all been to The Lookout Inn in Carate Beach? Here's the deal. I discovered the Inn in 2005 by chance. I had wanted to get onto the Osa Peninsula for many years because that's where the wildlife...

Whenever I lookup hotels I always go to the worst review to see what you might not like. The Raymond B review is helpful as it does point out that the Lookout Inn has no A/C, it has no charging points in the rooms, it has no hot water. So if this is a deal-breaker, don't come here. But all...
