This place was amazing. We stayed in one of the tent bungalows. When we arrived in the dark in the middle of a tropical downpour, the host welcomed us with delicious fruit smoothies. The tent was very spacious and comfortable with hardwood floors, a comfy bed, a hot shower, and a large deck looking out into the jungle. The room... More

Our first day in Costa Rica we drove to Rio Tico, arriving at 5:30, as dusk was setting in. Our host, "Case," was exceptional, putting candles and flowers in our platform tent, which was set high up overlooking the forest canopy, while we enjoyed a refreshing tropical juice. The rainforest night sounds soothed us all night and our deck was... More

Great and very clean Lodge. The tents are magnificent and create a special experience. Cees is very helpful and very kind. There is a magnificent Waterfall close to the lodge where you can swim. The tent has a platform where you can listen to the sounds of the jungle. Great!!!

Loved the tent and it had a nice veranda out front. Spotted toucans and howler monkeys on the terrain. Lovely waterfall just 300 metres away, where you can swim and jump of the rock on top of the waterfall (if you dare - I didn't). Great breakfast - Dutch pancakes - the best.

What a nice adventure! We slept in a big tent with great view and we woke up with the sounds of nature. During the night you can hear the howler monkeys and we woke up with the sound of many birds. We even had our own bathroom with warm water for the shower! The owner is a dutch man, for... More

Visited with a couple of friends and I was stunned of the quality of service and facilities, being so close to the river is amazing how peaceful it can get, great machiatto ;) and even though access in rainy season can get a little tricky, is worth the drive

River setting is beautiful and fun to play in the river. Good for a short stay as the bed is not super comfortable and the rooms can get hot. However, a large fan is provided and we did not have issues with bugs in our room. Fun to relax on rocks in the river or be more adventurous and use... More

Short drive off the main paved road. Nice stay. Our host was helpful and accommodating. We stayed in one of the tents backing onto the river. Comfy bed and nice bath. Breakfast was very good. The river is a great place to hang out and there's even a small swimming hole. The near by restaurant is good and reasonably priced,... More

“We stayed in Tent 1 this visit. This tent has a little different set-up for the bathroom but it was not a big deal. Also, keep in mind this is the first tent as people come down the hill. Again, not a big deal for us but just FYI. They have Wi-Fi but you will need to be up the hill to use it. Which by the way, is a great place to sit and socialize.”
