Stumbled on El Perezoso completely by chance and what a find! Just a short uphill from the road but once up on the hill you have the most glorious view of the sea, Tortuga Beach and the forest stretching away to the hills behind. Charming accommodation with wooden floors, pretty beds and lots of nice touches from the charming English...

This 1926 property hasn't been updated since then. Linens are old and frayed. There are no face cloths, hand towels or soap offered. There are wires showing in the showerhead that provide electricity to heat the water. The owner locked the office every night so we had no access to our ice, sodas etc. Breakfast never happened and coffee was...

We where invited by my cousin to visit the area and decided to spend the night at the hotel. I am a chef in San Diego and grew up in Costa Rica. I have to say this is a must see if you go to Costa Rica. The included breakfast was perfect and served family style on the patio overlooking...

We loved the little B&B, Terry is a terrific hostess and made us feel very welcome. We took the top room that was clean and with a lot of natural light. Great sunsets can be enjoyed on first row by the pool. Kitchen can be used, so you can have a nice cocktail prepared by yourself. Lots of birds singing...

Serendipity found this place for us due to a chance encounter with another traveler who'd been in the Ojochal area south of Uvita. You have to drive a ways in on a dirt road and then get to a steep driveway that takes you up to the property. The building itself is a pretty structure with about 10 double rooms....

We've been traveling all over CR yearly since 1997, and El Perezoso is by far our favorite place. We return each trip, and have cut short visits to the Osa and other spots to get back there ASAP! I could go on and on about how beautiful it is, how spotlessly clean and comfortable the rooms, how spectacular the views,...

What a great place to relax and take in an outstanding view from the pool. Very friendly. And so many things to explore nearby. My husband and I visited a couple near by beaches that we nearly had to ourselves. Swam 2 waterfalls, rented sea kayaks, toured the mangroves...all the awesome things about Costa Rica and Hotel El Perezoso was...

My sisters and my parents have all stayed in this lovely retreat of a b&b during trips to Costa Rica, and last year my husband and I finally had the chance to enjoy this wonderful place.
