Altough a but rusty, the place has some charm. We took a room on the first floor with bathroom. It was rather small and there were some ants going about 24/7, but sleeping so close to the see and the sounds of the waves is certainly a good experience. There is a communal kitchen that does the job, and the...

The view from this place is amazing. We stayed for a week as we fell in love with it. There was also a good vibe and diversity amongst travellers which was nice. We stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom upstairs. The water is cold but it was never an issue for us. The bathrooms were cleaned every morning....

Really bad accommodation. Stayed there 2 night with my family and it was a bad experience. First we got a room at the second floor. I the middle of the night we woke up and the room was full of mosquitoes. No more sleep that night... When we talk to the staff next day they admitted they have at big...

Do. Not. Stay. Here. Myself and two friends woke up covered in tiny red bites. Luckily we did not bring in our bags in to the room. Woman working front desk was very rude and seemed as if our business was putting her out of her way.

Stayed here three nights in a five bed dorm. The dorm was OK, the beds were comfortable but the room was very small and cramped with five people. My key included a key to a locker, but when I opened the locker I found someone else already using it. Luckily I wasn't a thief. You are required to pay a...

I have to agree the view is great. It's right on the water and there's great place to chill in hammocks. But that is all, The rooms are cramped, the kitchen is very dirty (at least there's free breakfast) and most of all the staff is not pleasant. They are super strict about numerous things (check out time - and...

it was my favorite hostel in my 2 weeks in Costa Rica, people I meet, the vibe of the place, you would wake up with the sound of the beach, then go on the deck to look at the beach while drinking a free coffee every morning!

“Cabinas Mar y Cielo. Yeah, on Saturday night the bar down the street was a little noisy but not past 11 PM. Other nights it was quiet. Large rooms, friendly staff, fridge, right on the beach. Porch, chairs, hammocks. Good value for the price.”

“Steer clear from rooms close to a bathroom, because the doors are very loud at night and there are no sound barriers within the windows to keep it quieter.”
