Owners and staff are friendly. With your mind set on a jungle experience with monkeys and beach vistas and small beach town vibe, you won't be dissappointed. Don't expect luxury, do expect an experience you'll fondly recall for years to come. The breakfast is tasty, and the monkeys visit. Facilities and rooms are clean and water runs hot. The pool...

In its own grounds near the centre of the laid back village Montezuma this hotel provides a quiet stay whilst being close to the jungle wildlife. The grounds contain a lovely swimming pool, which has a resident iguana family living by it. Guests can expect to be woken at some point in the night by a troupe of howler monkeys...

We stayed a week with our 3 year old daughter and 17 month old boy, and we loved it. Wake up to a variety of monkey species right outside your casita. Start the morning with a full breakfast included with your stay, served by some of the most appreciative Ticas you'll find. Sweet little warm pool for the kids, and...

This was one of the last hotels we stayed at on our trip to Costa Rica and it was a great way to end our vacation. The hotel itself was located right next to both the beach and the town, and was only about a 2 minute walk from either. The rooms weren't amazing, but they were clean and we...

Our group had three adults and two 3yr olds. We stayed in casita 2 which was a lots of stairs to walk up (not stroller friendly) BUT once you arrive to the casita, it is well worth the hike. After the first day, we were so in love with where we were that we didn't want to move down to...

This place was fantastic. We had our own private cabin that had plenty of room for a family of four. Kitchenette which was great. We loved the open concept and the no screens on the windows. The wildfie was plentiful and the howlers made sure to wake you up in the morning. Pool was fabulous and clean. Great view from...

We loved our stay here. Our casita had a huge deck with a jacuzzi tub surrounded by the forest so we had privacy. The amount of wildlife we saw kept us entertained without having to go anywhere. But just a short walk away was the beautiful beach or their refreshing pool. Lora was such a kind employee and answered all...

We have been there twice, and love this hotel and this little Montezuma village. Hotel rooms are basic, but spacious and clean. Windows don't have glasses, so in the room you can hear ocean waves, birds and howler monkeys. The garden is lovely, the pool well-maintained and from the pool area you have a view to the ocean. The staff...

I spent 6 nights at Luz de Mono from January 9th to 15th, just wish I could have had longer. Laura, Luis, Suzanna and all the staff were so superb. I was on my own and Laura and Suzanna couldn't have been more helpful and friendly especially when I found I had problems with my next hotel booking, Laura made...
