We spent three wonderful nights at Amor de Mar this past March. It is a beautiful oasis right on the ocean and is very well run. We were lucky enough to get one of the cabanas and it was a truly sublime experience. The woodwork in the house is gorgeous and the balcony superb. Even though it's close to town,...

Amor de Mar calls itself a little hotel in paradise and it's true! My nieces, nephew and I stayed in Casa Luna and loved it! It's beautifully done, with three air conditioned bedrooms, kitchen, and delightful bathroom with a sunken bath on the first floor, and a huge open living room with two mosquito net-draped beds and a long balcony...

The location of this property in Montezuma is excellent, away from the general hubbub of town by a short walk, located across the street from the waterfall, and on a beautiful oceanfront piece of property. A green oasis. We stayed in the honey moon suite which was full of beautiful wood, artistic touches, canopy beds and a gorgeous lanai with...

The place is beautiful and the breakfasts were quite nice. We stayed in Casa Luna. The lower bedrooms had A/C, the upper did not, but it wasn't really an issue. We did have trouble with the hot water, and they did address it to make it right, but it still was kind of spotty after. Montezuma is so warm though,...

My family and I enjoyed an absolutely *wonderful* 8 nights at the Casa Luna villa at the Amor de Mar Hotel. The hotel location is spectacular -- with a lush garden full of orchids and hammocks jutting out into the ocean and a private tide pool to enjoy. The Casa Luna villa was stunning: full of beautiful wood, artistic lighting,...

We really enjoyed this little jem. It's like paradise there. The views of the water, the palm trees, the manicured lawns while having breakfast on the terrace was amazing. It's located a little away from the main town, but it's only a 5 or 10 minute walk away. It's also across the street from the waterfall that you can hike...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week for our honeymoon. We were looking for a location off the beaten path, and we always like to stay in accommodations with kitchens because we like to cook. Casa Sol at Amor de Mar seemed like the perfect fit. When we arrived, the receptionist (Carla) greeted us warmly and...

We've been coming to Montezuma for many years and always spend time at this hotel. While we don't stay here every year (as we rent a house for a month now), we have in the past. The hotel is well located on beautiful, well maintained grounds overlooking the ocean and tide pools. We find it so relaxing to walk the...

We discovered the place on a walk to the waterfalls, and had a lunch with family and kids. The place is peacefull and offers a magnificient view, across a tropical garden, inviting to a longer stay. A unique hotel highly over Costan Rica standarts...

We happened upon Amor de Mar and stayed for two nights in two rooms as we did not have reservations. They were very accommodating. The food was simple yet delicious and healthy. The location is excellent and an easy walk into town. We spent our afternoons on the shaded hammocks listening to the waves. The rooms are simple and clean...
