The Manuel Antonio region of Costa Rica is amazing in and of itself, but the Arenas Del Mar property truly is a hidden gem. When you travel into the town where this hotel is located, it honestly doesn't seem like much. The streets are narrow and windy and hilly. When you arrive at the gates of the property and get...

My family recently stayed 1 week at Arenas del Mar in August. What a wonderful resort! Location was perfectly nestled in the rain forest, along-side two beautiful beaches with warm water & fantastic waves! Our spacious ocean breeze suite (401) had a relaxing view of both rain forest and ocean from our balcony & spa. We had a short 5-minute...

We stayed here for 4 nights, and it wasn't nearly long enough. We paid for a top floor ocean view room, and it is the first time that I can say that the extra money for the better view was worth it! The view from our balcony was outstanding, and I could have spent the whole vacation just sitting on...

Arenas del Mar's property had it all. Beach access, trails to walk, easy to find sloths-monkeys-lizards-crabs, food is excellent, staff is extrememly friendly-kind-accomodating-and happy to answer questions about Costa Rica and let you practice your Spanish on them. They welcome you with a drink, have umbrellas stationed everywhere for the afternoon showers during rainy season. They were happy to coordinate...

This place was amazing, from the staff to the beautiful, well maintained grounds to the awesome rooms! First class all around. My family and I had the best vacation there and would definitely go back. We stayed for a week in June and the weather was perfect! Pura Vida!

We stayed here in July 2014 and had a wonderful experience. The room (oceanview suite) was enormous and comfortable. While the hotel sits on a cliff, and navigating on foot is challenging, the golf carts were always available with friendly staff. The drivers were quite charming and a favorite part of our stay. The service here is outstanding. They loaned...

Dear Smonkee, thank you for reviewing your stay at Arenas del Mar. The kind of comments you make about our staff and service put big smiles on our faces. We are very passionate about service and believe it is the essence of hospitality. Of course, the great rain forest and beachfront location, great food and fun activities also help, but...

After arriving to San Jose and driving 3 hours south to Manuel Antonio, we were welcomed by the incredible staff of Arenas del Mar. We enjoyed their complimentary welcome drink made with coconut cream, pineapple juice and fresh mint. It's absolutely heavenly. Our bartender Angel made us two wicked drinks that we will not forget soon. Just spending 1 night,...

I could not think of a better place to spend my honeymoon! We went during June (the green season) but the occasional showers did not hold us back at all from doing anything we wanted to do. In fact, the highlight of our trip was included in our "green season honeymoon" package: the private dinner on the private beach! As...

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and were AMAZED by the impeccable customer service and peaceful facilities. The hotel room was way bigger and nicer than we expected, and we were treated like royalty the entire time. There wasn't a single bad item on the menu, and we had something new everyday! Thank you Arenas Del Mar...

We loved our stay at this resort, the food was amazing, we had a great meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We stayed in building 2 which overlooks the pool, it was very clean, and the bed was super comfy. The balcony was nice, and had a great day bed, in which i found myself taking plenty of afternoon siestas....
