We did a ton of research on Manuel Antonio-area resorts for the first part of our Costa Rican honeymoon, and decided that Arenas del Mar's combination of upscale amenities, beautiful jungle settings, and a (mostly) private beach couldn't be beat We're happy to report that our research definitely paid off and we were thrilled with the 5 nights we spent...

We just finished our 6th visit to Arenas Del Mar. The staff treat guests as royalty. Everyone worked hard to ensure that we had a great vacation. The dinner selection has improved over the past few years. Splurge for a premium suite with great views and a hot tub. Walk the property, including the hill entrance before the welcome center,...

My wife and I were visiting Costa Rica from Nov 23rd - Dec 6th for our 30th anniversary and spent the last 4 days at Arenas Del Mar in Manuel Antonio. From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIP's and when the hotel found out about the reason for trip, they upgraded us to a suite with no...

Arenas del mar is a luxury hotel with outstanding service. From Angel the bartender to Alex the restaurant manager, everyone is ready and willing to help you. We joked it was like arriving at Fantasy Island when the golf carts drive you up the steep hill to the resort. I recommend staying in Building 6 or 7 and the 3rd...

My mom and I just returned a week ago and it was a great experience. Our room worked out perfectly. We had beautiful views, our own bathrooms and great service. We were greeted with delicious drinks upon arrival. The wildlife was everywhere around the property. The staff was first class and extremely friendly. The restaurants, pool and beaches were beautiful!...

My husband and I just returned from nine days of pure bliss. Arenas del Mar is a beautiful, secluded, upscale property. There is nothing missing from this resort other than noise and crowds. There are two restaurants, both of which serve fantastic food. The rooms are large, clean. and well appointed. However, the most outstanding feature of this property are...

My wife and I stay at the Arenas del Mar resort in September of 2014. I highly recommend this resort if you plan to travel to Costa Rica. The resort is within walking distance along the beach to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Our room was wonderful, spacious and had a breathtaking view of the Pacific. There are lots of...

We were on the 3rd floor of one of the buildings. As a result we had a terrific view and spent a lot of time on the balcony. Room was well appointed; however, bathroom ventilation is an issue resulting in significant humidity and moisture when using the shower. I would agree with a previous rater that staff should endeavour to...
