We just returned from a five night stay at this fantastic beach front resort. The room was spacious with an incredible view. The staff is super friendly and professional. The restaurants and food are spectacular and we ate all our meals on site. It was the last place we stayed on a 2 week trip to Costa Rica and we...

My husband and I traveled to Arenas del Mar for a quick getaway from Atlanta, Ga and couldn't be more pleased. The resort staff are super friendly and helpful. We came at the beginning of the rainy season, although for us, this was no problem. The covered porch over looking the surf was one of my favorite places to be....

Dear Jen, Thanks for choosing Arenas del Mar for your quick getaway – not too quick to fit in all the wildlife exploring, surfing, and relaxing there is to do in Manuel Antonio we hope! Here we actually call the “rainy season” the green season as it’s the perfect time to experience the lush rainforest in all its glory. The...

Arenas del mar is a beautiful beachfront hotel. Location is perfect. The views and the ocean are amazing! Rooms are spacious and lovely with large balconies and some have private Jacuzzi. Staff is top notch and attentive. Restaurant menus are well thought out - food is delicious. Being right next to Manual Antonio National Park is a plus. Monkeys and...

My wife and I spent four nights at Arenas Del Mar in May 2017. The rooms and property were incredibly nice, with easy access to the beach, two restaurants and bars and two very nice pools. We chose to go to the nearby national park as well as whitewater rafting. Both tours were well run with very knowledgeable/capable guides. I...

Our room overlooked the ocean with a sizable balcony where we could relax while watching and listening to the waves crashing. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. I normally prefer not to eat at hotels, but the food at Arenas Del Mar was incredible. Breakfast is included and the menu offers a wide range of delectable options with an...

Wow, this resort is just fabulous, from the moment we arrived to the day we left, the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. So let’s start at the beginning. The hotel is quite tricky to find so if you are self-driving then you will need to do some research. The hill down to the resort entrance is...

Beautiful property. Impeccable service and staff. Restaurant has wonderful food which is vegan friendly. Serene surroundings make the hotel grounds more visually appealing than the near-by rainforest trail. Well worth the steep prices. The walk up the hill from the beach to the reception and restaurant is some built-in exercise. If you are able, don't take the courtesy gold carts....

Dear NYDCwanderer, We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed your recent stay with us and we love your anti golf cart attitude! We’re certainly blessed to be located in such a unique rainforest and beach setting and the fun is definitely in exploring the tropical vegetation for unusual animals like sloths, iguanas and agoutis. As for the restaurants, all of...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Arenas Del Mar in March. The property is built on a steep cliff with some buildings and one restaurant at the top and other buildings and another restaurant below near the beach. Both settings are beautiful, and the golf cart system made it very easy to get up and down quickly. We...

This is the only beachfront hotel in Manuel Antonio. The restaurants on the grounds have exceptional food and service. They provide quite the touch by all knowing our name. There is live music most times at dinner in the evening. It's easy to get around the steep property by calling a golf cart and they were usually at our door before...

Our first proper stop in Costa Rica and all the amenities were First Class. The staff fell over themselves to be helpful although with so many it was often awkward to check back as they switched roles regularly. On arrival you go by golf buggy from the car park to the main reception and it is immediately obvious why golf...
