We really enjoyed our stay at Verde Mar. Ramon at the front desk was incredibly helpful in finding transportation to Dominical and back to San Jose, and even went as far as picking up our bus tickets for us in Quepos to save us a taxi ride there and back. He was great! The rest of the staff was incredibly...

This was an outstanding find. The staff was excellent (Andrew,Juan Carlos, and Roman). The hotel now has a restaurant. Omar, the chef, served some of the best food we had on our trip. The hotel is on the beach which is unusal in Manuel Antonio. We had a one bedroom/ kitchen that was small but served us well.

We had read a pretty good review for this place in a travel book, but I think it was misleading. The location is awesome: just a few minutes' walk from the free beach (Playa Espandilla) and a few minutes' walk from the entrance to Manuel Antonio. If you're looking for a great location and a cheap room ($42/night), with air...

My family and I just returned from Costa Rica. We stayed a week at Hotel Verde Mar. We loved the location as it was right on the beach with easy access. We enjoyed all the meals we ate at Omar's Cocina. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always ready with a warm smile. The rooms are very simple...

I have mixed feelings about Hotel Verde Mar where I stayed for 3 nights June 5,6,7th. The front staff were friendly and helpful, and the Chef was great and prepared very nice meals at reasonable prices. However, I feel that Verde Mar is overpriced for what you get - especially when it's low season. They capitalize on their location 'on...

We stayed here last week on a recommendation of a friend. We knew this was not going to be a high end place based on the price, but the customer service was top notch and the room was clean and exactly what we needed. The other great surprise was Omar the chef in the small kitchen. He is truly a...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 7 nights with our two best friends and had an absolutely perfect experience. Before we came, we poured over reviews for all the hotels in the area and are 100% happy with our decision to stay here for our entire visit to MA, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The location is great,...

We spent in this hotel 5 nights and we liked almost everything: the room (standart), the location, the service, wi-fi access, and the staff, which was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was very old and noisy air-conditioner in rooms 107 and 108. But it didnt spoil our holidays in this hotel and we will recommend it as a...

Liked this place, perfect location to the park and the beach, and about 100 a night....but first room smelled weird, so we asked to be moved and you can only get wi fi in rooms closest to the office.... and they could not accomadate us for a wifi room. Overall not the friendliest staff but I did like the place,...
