There are no words that could ever describe a trip like this. We went on the "off" season which was absolutely amazing. Every single person at the resort was incredible. They were so personable and by day one every one knew you by name. I...More

August is Costa Rica's off season so it's a little rainy. The rain is hit or miss as to how long it lasts. we just visited at it rained daily but for a short amount of time and usually in the afternoon. so if you fill your morning with fun you should be fine! as for other kids, this place is a perfect place for them. it's safe and enclosed, but idk if this would be the place to meet other kids?
We were there in July and mosquitos were definitely present. The units have screens on all the windows and it is your choice whether to leave doors open or not, so you do have some control over the problem.
