Staff was very accommodating. They willingly moved us three times to ensure that we were happy. Property is very convenient to various restaurants. Grounds with lush vegatation and lots of monkeys makes for a sense of adventure. Melissa and her team were very helpful in setting up excursions. [No more white water rafting!!! until our next visit.]

Rooms: Having stayed at the Byblos three times, in four different rooms I feel very qualified in saying the rooms are very clean and bug free; you may see an occasional ant or two; but lets get real here it is a rain forest you're in. If the rooms were not clean and bug free we would not have stayed,...

Just got back from CR where we again, 3rd time, stayed at Byblos. Had the expected great time & service. Yes, anyplace you stay is going to have it's good and not so good, Byblos also has its good and not so good. On this trip we went from San Jose to Manuel Antonio to Puerto Jimenez to Utiva to...

My family spent 4 days at Byblos Resort recently. Just before our trip, I read some negative reviews here and almost tried to transfer to another resort. I'm so glad I didn't. With 2 adults and 2 teens, we needed extra space and booked the full suite in the main building. We had a very spacious bedroom with a king...

Just returned from the Byblos Hotel and we loved it. It is right in the rain forest and very close to the beach. The hotel is lovely and the people there were delightful. Every evening we gathered by the pool and watched the monkeys play in the trees! Flowers were everywhere! We would surely go back.

I also must disagree with the negative reviews left earlier, I returned this week from a vacation to Manuel and stayed in the Byblos Resort, bungalow #3. The room was nice, clean and bed bug free. Experienced breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this facility and was impressed with all of the meals and the staff members were a pleasure to...

I traveled to Manuel Antonio with a group of elderly lady friends and we spend 3 nights at this cute hotel. We were very surprised to see all the wildlife on the property. Right when we were checking in there were all kinds of monkeys going through the trees surrounding the parking lot. We also saw another type of monkey...

Here's a long review about this hotel and the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area that I hope will be helpful. We stayed in #1 for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. How anyone could write a one star review for this property is beyond me. First of all, choose to stay in the bungalows for a very unique experience. I cannot...

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and pictures of it...the hotel is in terrible shape, the rooms are old, poorly maintained, the walkways are dirty. The casino is a a set of old machines that no one touches( why would you anyway). The vies are of their parking Los and in the distance you see the ocean, no...

As one of the acting owners of Hotel Byblos, I sincerely regret that this traveler did not enjoy their stay at Byblos Resort or Manuel Antonio beach (voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world!). At the risk of sounding defensive, I do however feel the need to respond to some of their comments, as it would appear...

This hotel is very close to the forest. Actually, our room looks like in the forest already. We saw monkeys right there. The hotel provides free breakfast. It was really good. The most important is that they offer a very reasonable price.
