We stayed for 3 days at Turtle Beach Lodge, and had an amazing experience there. Ricardo our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with every aspect of our stay. It was just the 2 of us with him for the entire trip, and as a result we learnt a huge amount about the wildlife. We saw so much, both... More

After a short night in San Jose we were picked up by our lovely guide Guisselle who stayed with us for 2 days at the Lodge . The location is beautiful one side on the turtlebeach and the other side in the jungle. We made boattrips and did some tracking in the jungle and saw a lot of animals !!... More

My husband & I stayed at Turtle Beach Lodge in early October. Right from the start of our tour pick-up in San Jose to our drop-off at our next destination, our guide Ricardo was attentive, knowleable, & overall wonderful. The location right on the beach made it different from the other lodges & really made it feel like a tropical... More

We went here on a 3 day, 2 night tour and had an amazing experience. We have an 8 year old and he was as excited as either of us. You can only get there by boat, and every time you are out on the canals it is an adventure in critter spotting. We saw 40+ different animal species while... More

We booked a 3 day / 2 night package from San Jose which we felt was the right amount of time. The journey was interesting taking in the countryside by mini bus and then the boat journey to the lodge was exciting. The rooms are fairly basic, we had a quad room as we are a family of 4 which... More

We recently stayed at this lodge during our trip to Costa Rica. Tortuguero is an amazing place to visit, nothing quite like it. We debated whether to go as it was out of season for seeing the turtles but our trip to Costa Rica would not have been complete without it. Getting there was an adventure but well organised. The... This lodge allows you the remoteness to experience the Jungle. The boat trip to get there as well was amazing seeing lots of wild life. Lots of wildlife around the lodge area as well. Grounds are nice and the staff very friendly. But it is in the jungle, so if you are expecting all the comforts of home....don;t. There is... More

Arriving was exciting, but.... The price was $610 for 2 nights. As travelers, we are familiar with "ecotourism", and we would not recommend Turtle Beach Lodge in Tortuguero, Costa Rica. SERVICE - They charged us $5 dollars for 10 minutes of usage. In those 10 minutes we barely received adequate service as it took too much time to open 3... More

Turtle Beach Lodge, 5 miles north of the town of Tortuguero, is a secluded resort spanning 175 acres with miles of jungle trails, a meandering private canal, and a half mile of beach adjoining still more isolated beaches. The lodge accommodates approximately 80 guests; assisted by a well trained staff and guides who ease you into an exciting jungle experience.
