What a sweet little spot!! This is away from civilization!! There is a tiny air strip for small planes or you can get here by boat (small ferry boat 20 people max). Once you arrive (by boat) you are greeted by the staff who give you a full run-down on the property. You can lounge in the hammocks, chill by... More

This was our last stop. It was just breath taking. The food was great. The pool was wonderful. The rooms were very nice with a nice bathroom. We had an upstairs room that we paid a little more for but we were afraid since it was not air conditioned that we would be hot. I don't think any of our... More

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2 week holiday trip. The hotel is actually just 4 lodges set in grounds next to the start of the jungle. The lodges are tent style rooms set on a raised platform. It was pretty comfortable , nice bed, tv, fridge, fan and a small shower/toilet en suite(no a/c). You are... More

As part of a tour of Costa Rica we stayed at the hotel for two nights in February 2016. It is relatively remote and to get there from San Juan takes about four hours by road and river boat. Nevertheless it is a well worthwhile journey. For the rteurn journey we flew direct from Tortuguero to San Jose (25 mins).... More

The staff here are some the nicest we have met anywhere. Rooms are specious and comfortable with outside chairs and a hammock. Earplugs are provided for those that can't sleep through the nightly cacophony of cicadas and/or the howler monkey wake up call! Although left alone to enjoy the grounds and river, should you wish, there are also excursions on... More

Right on the water, awesome infinity pool I shared with the iguanas three feet long. They sat in the grass and watched me swim. Never moved a muscle. Woke to howler monkeys in the trees. Food was plenty and awesome!

This hotel is beautiful with lush property, birds, iguanas and howler monkeys right outside. The food and service were perfect: fresh vegetables, fruits and rice and beans! There is water set out 24 hours and coffee. Really cool place - but not for people who do not appreciate night jungle sounds and a visit from an iguana.

We have gone to Costa Rica each year since 2006. This is the first place we visited there that we will never visit again. Rain in February and not unexpected there were 6 or 8 umbrellas at every door.the paths at the Lodge were old cracked cement and the water on them was in places ankle deep. The rooms are... More

A beautiful hotel comprising groups of villas with views over the river, each with a terrace equipped with hammock and rocking chairs. Woken each day by the sound of howler monkeys. Grounds were magnificent and harboured a wide variety of birds and animals including toucans, sloths, iguanas and frogs, and the expert guides lead a variety of tours on the... More
