I have stayed at Miss Junie's twice and plan to return soon. The rooms are comfortable and attractive. The second floor balcony is a great place to relax with a glass of wine and listen to the sounds of the sea. The hotel and restaurant belong to one of the oldest families in Tortuguero. They worked with Dr. Archie Carr...

This is a great little place. It is just a quick walk to the beach( you can hear the ocean from your room) and a quick walk into town. I think it is great cause if you need something from the town( just one long road) you can get what you need without having to get on a boat. The...

I really enjoyed Miss Junnie's (the correct spelling) and would recommend it over any of the other places in town despite Lonely Planet's note about choosing one of the other inexpensive hotels over this one - didn't understand that recommendation at all. The property is at the end of the small island surrounded by lovely gardens of flowers. The island...

The rooms are cosy and all made from wood. We had a room upstairs and enjoyed it very much. The place is clean, quiet and charming. Miss Junie is a lovely old lady and it is a pity that the marketing at this place is not better since it is a great place to stay. The food is nice but...

There is nothing dazzling about this hotel but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were clean. The hotel is right by the beach and its an easy walk to all the eateries and shops in town too. Staff was helpful. The Wi-fi worked sporadically but staff always tried their best to restore service. I loved the hammocks provided on...

Spent two nights here with granddaughters (12 & 14) and their dad. Unlike more expensive hotels outside of town we could walk everywhere...no need to take taxi boat from a resort. This long-time family-owned hotel has a friendly and accommodating staff. In the restaurant area (delicious breakfast included) there is a painting of a younger Miss Junie. In a chair...

We did a 3 day/2 night tour with Miss Junie's, which was really great value and we got to everything we wanted to do. Tortuguero is a tropical gem, reachable only by boat. Our guide, Clloyd was fantastic. Really knowledgable about the area and the wildlife. He took us to witness a giant Green Turtle laying her eggs on a...

After an incredibly trip from La Pavona to Tortuguero, we arrived in Miss Junie's. The rooms were quite good, the only minor downside was that there was no airconditioning. The restaurant was really good. We wanted to watch the turtles at night. The receptionist did all organisation for this, which was very helpful. Seeing the turtles was truly a magical...

Thank you Gabor and Jessica for being such welcoming hosts. I spent 2 very comfortable weeks at Coconut Love. Apartment had a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and shady verandah. Bedroom had a walk in wardrobe area, great bed, reading lamp and ceiling fan (air con not widely available in Cahuita). Kitchen fully equipped with stove and fridge. Verandah with hammock. Bathroom...

Located just outside of town on a quiet strip of land nestled between the ocean and the river. You can watch the sunrise over the Caribbean and the sunset over the river! The hotel and restaurant are built of wood and accented with beautiful carvings of turtles. The gardens are lush and green. Rooms are simple and a little small...
