We were almost at the end of the row of bungalows, a very quiet spot as we asked for, thank you!! White faced capuchin monkeys next to our room! Very beautiful garden with beautiful birds and frogs! Our room was big with a good bed. We had mostly good weather during the day, during the night it rained a lot....

Stayed for 2 nights at this lodge and although its not actually in the National Park, the surroundings seem like you are well within it. It actually is built right into a swamp and the trees and vegetation support an abundance of flora & fauna. Was woken up in the mornings by the Howler monkeys. One can easily spot Howlers,...

From the moment of pick up at our San Jose hotel the experience was fantastic. The guide who accompanied us pointed out many important sites, ecological facts and information about the areas through which we traveled. Our first stop was a restaurant nestled into a rainforest. We were served an excellent meal and given ample time to stretch our legs...

The location of the hotel is really great, the breakfast is good, the staff friendly, and the animals are everywhere around the rooms (capucins and howler monkeys) ! Still, the comfort in the bathroom (place to put the towels and stuff...) could be improved.

There are no roads that will take you to Evergreen Lodge. The only way you can get there is by boat, about a 45 minute journey through the Tortuguero canals. The boats are low, so you are very close to the water. They call it an extraordinary exotic paradise. That is not far from the truth. Our room was in...

Really enjoyed our two night stay here. Great trip up the river to get there. Accommodation simple but adequate, food lovely and the wildlife around the lodge interesting. We went over to the local village for an afternoon and spent a pleasant hour in the Turtle Conservation Centre being educated on the Green Turtle - this place is a must....

The good points are the location and the nature they it offers. We did several boat trips and saw a lot of interesting animals. We also did a cacao education session in the village which was really interesting (not connected to the resort). All food and nature watching boat trips are included. As are the transfers in and out. The...

The key to enjoying this is knowing that you will be there in a group, even if you are on a private tour. Meals are at set times and there are also group excursions. But there are also many opportunities to get away from it all - we borrowed a couple of kayaks and set off into the secluded carribbean...

In this review I won't write about the beautiful surroundings, the clean and comfortable accomodation, the mostly friendly staff and the competent guides in this spacious lodge because everything has been said in former reviews. My concern here is the process of the normal hotel life. Travelling individually and not with a company we were introduced to "our" guide immediatedly...
