We stayed here for three nights during our visit to this relaxing city. Clean room, perfect view from our room where we could look out over the city from our shower (highly reccommend room 6)! The place is close to everything but far enough away that you won't get too much noise - which is what you want in this...

This is a really great place to stay in Talamanca. Close to everything in town but away from all the noise. Beautiful room with a semi-open bathroom with a view over town. Plus a nice (almost private) terrace with 'seat hammocks'. Really value for money! They run a spanish school too at the hotel with private one on one lessons...

Owned by a charming couple who has traveled the world together and has a teddy bear for a son that is on the check in counter when you come in. Great location within walking to distance to everything in town but far enough away that it feels peaceful and quiet. Hammocks hang here and there, there is a book shelf...

We ended up staying here for 5 nights due to the hurricane affecting other parts of the country. The staff were very friendly, relaxed and helpful with our day to day requests and onward travel plans. All the places we stayed in Costa Rica were about the same price but this was the nicest due to the homely touches, the...

We had a pleasant 3 night stay in the hotel I one of the shared bathroom rooms Very clean. They clean the room every day and provide fresh towels. Mosquito nets on the Windows albeit no glass in the windows. At least that means you get a nice breeze through Location it's great as its away from the bars but...

Ideally located just a few blocks off the main street (so you're close to everything but not right in the heart of the busy town), Hotel Pura Vida is a cheerful, safe, reasonably priced, clean and friendly place. The lobby is pretty, surrounded by colorful flowers. On their simple menu there's good coffee, a fruit platter, guacamole, and more. The...

We really loved our stay at Pura Vida, definitely one of the best small hotels we stayed in in our Central America. Run by a friendly Chilean-German couple, honestly the hotel is an oasis of calm and cleanliness. We were supposed to be in Puerto Viejo for 2 nights we ended up staying for a week. Breakfast was basic but...

We loved everything about this hotel. The quiet location, friendly staff, the clean, spacious rooms that allowed a bit of breeze in through the windows at night, the hammocks everywhere, the friendly cats and dog, .. Just wonderful.

This was our first taste of Costa Rican hospitality and we enjoyed it. Clean rooms, nice relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Breakfast looked good but we looked elsewhere. It was the price that left us swallowing hard (but this is the norm is CR).

On the paper everything in Pura Vida hotel look nice. So you take a room, but then you discover a list of ridiculous rules which make you feel at school again (examples : 50$ fine if you bring a friend in the hotel, no shoes in the public area of the hotel...) - These rules might make you think that...
