Cool, funky Costa Rican vibe. Nothing fancy or assumed. Kitchen means kitchen. Not like a kitchen with pots and pans...well it had a angle pot but no pans. We made variations of eggs in one pot. We stayed in tree house. What they have done with the place is super cool but don't expect anything more than advertised. Although kaleb...

We spent five days at the Tree House Lodge, in the Beach Suite. Pros: spacious, private (from other visitors), weird and wonderful architecture, steps to a gorgeous beach, wonderful hammocks on the porch, friendly staff, wake to the sound of ocean waves, check out the sloths and monkeys in the trees.... Cons: hot water iffy; water pressure crummy; housecleaning inconsistent;...

We loved staying in this serene, oceanside garden of Eden. The Beach Suite is wildly exuberant, yet so well suited to the lush jungle setting. This is not a sterile, generic hotel. It's a cluster of five spacious cabins, amongst a constantly tended jungle environmental. The amazing diverse flora and fauna sometimes feels menacing, yet it kept at bay, away...

There is nothing quite like the Tree House Lodge. We stayed in the Beach House. It is secluded, near the beach access but as someone mentioned you walk through the beautiful garden a bit on your way. There are fabulous swimming beaches just south or north. It's a fabulous beach stroll to get to either one. The beach in front,...

I stayed in the beach house for 5 nights in December with my two teenage kids. I have to admit I had a lot of anxiety about the location and how remote it was as we didn't have a car. I was also worried about bugs as I thought it was completely open. So I was absolutely surprised and relieved...

We stayed we our 3 kids (7,9,11) in the Tree House. It is the coolest place we have ever stayed - open sided jungle living with amazingly few creepy crawlies and your sloth that lives up the tree near the veranda. Kids loved the fired heated bath tub. Takes a bit to get your head around it being open but...

We spent 4 great days in the Crystal House. This is an exceptionally unique, comfortable and beautiful lodging with courteous and helpful staff, a visionary owner and an environment you can't beat. Walk from your lodging through the jungle to the amazing beach and you will feel and hear nature in every pore. This is an ideal place for anyone...

The room we stayed in (Crystal) was simply magic, and the activities great also ESPECIALLY Pamela's Tai-Bo class, I did not want to do it at first.. it was raining, but what a pleasant surprise, not too hard and Pamela was so nice and cool and zen about the whole thing, with special attention and a gret cool off time...

After reading some of the less enthusiastic reviews here we were a little bit worried about our booking. Since it's not exactly a low-budget trip, you kinda expect something extraordinary. Boy were our expectations met and then some!! I don't believe we ever stayed at any hotel or resort that gave us so much privacy and peace. Waking up every...

Wow. What a vacation. Rain forests, beaches as far as the eye can see, animal rescues, homegrown cocoa, fruit ripe off the tree, amazing restaurants, a great local farmers market, hiking, rivers, wildlife better than any zoo, and all right there for you. No need to do day trips. Plant your feet in this area of Costa Rica and have...
