We loved our stay in Coco Loco! The cabins were the nicest place we'd stayed our whole trip they were cleaned daily and there was coffee and tea and a mini fridge! The bed was comfortable our sheets were changed, we had a great porch with a hammock! It was located a short walk to the town center - 5-10...

My girlfriend and I stayed in a bungalow here. The staff was so helpful when we arrived with questions about bus schedules for the area and where the best restaurants and dance clubs were. The room was clean and our kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals for really cheap. Location is great because it's away from town, yet...

The Coco Loco Lodge was a wonderful first experience of Puerto Viejo. We arrived late on the Mepe bus and they were very accommodating to stay open longer. Any question we had was helpfully answered. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable and quite. We would recommend staying at Coco Loco for an extended period in PV. Pura Vida! We mss it...

We've deduced that we got bedbugs from this place! We stayed in the Yellow House (Casa Amarillo). Check the mattresses! We stayed 4 nights as a group together. All of us had bites appear 1-9 days after we left. It was our 2 night in Costa Rica and the first night our two parties were together. The owner claimed we...

Wow ! That’s an unbelievable review. Those 2 young hippy style ladies ,with sometimes one guy ,one pregnant with 3 kids in a row in all colors, the other asking for extra sheet , extra pillow ,extra bed, extra towels for the small kids without willing to pay for them stayed 3 nights for a special rate with an extra...

We just returned from a wonderful 8 day vacation in PV! We loved hiking to the beach every day and the hikes in the jungle! Very relaxed and stress free! Beautiful beaches, great food but not a place to go if you want pampered like a resort area! LOL! We didn't so we loved it and the experience was amazing!...

I just stayed for one night with my parents, wife and parents in law. We had 3 cabins. It was a very quiet and relaxing environment. The owner and staff was very helpful, specialy considering the horrible attention that we got last night at Tabacon Grand Spa and Resort in La Fortuna de San Carlos. I strongly recommend this place....

We have stayed in the lodge for 5 nights. It was absolutely wonderful. Even as it rained for some hours it was great to be in the hammock outside under the roof. The cleaning was everyday done properly and we had nothing to complain about that. Breakfast was possible however we didn't use it. All in all I can recommend...

I have stayed here on two occasions. Once in Feb 2009 and once in Nov 2009. The first time was very lovely and perfect. The cabins are open air so the beds require mosquito nets. During the dry season, the bugs are low and there are no problems. November is toward the end of the green season and there were...

At the beginning I would like to advise that there are 2 excellent reviews from November 2009 and specially 100%positiv in cleanness. Those clients were absolutely right with complaining about the first cabin where they had their reservation, because the cleaning lady defiantly forgot to clean the bathroom . We are all humans and here in Costa Rica we are...

We arrived in PV Sat night, rain, dark, with no reservations and were surprised to find many places full. The lovely gentleman at Salt and Sugar Crepery (which I would also recommend), kindly called a few places for us and said of Coco Loco: "maybe a little expensive but everyone has good things to say", so we went for the...

At Coco Loco we found very nice, clean and calm cabinas in the middle of a beautiful garden where humming birds flying arround you. Sabine, the owner, had many tips for eating and drinking in Puerto Viejo! A must is the soda FlipFlop and the Bread and Chocolate for breakfast, both in walking distance. If you are getting borred of...
