My friend and I had a wonderful time at this nature retreat. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We especially appreciated Barbara's help in planning excursions, transportation, etc. The vegetarian meals were very good. The bungalow we stayed in was spotless. Had housekeeping service daily. Very safe. Beautiful jungle experience with lots of hiking on site. Had a...

Going to Samasati Nature Retreat was one of the best things i've done for myself. I stayed there over New Years 2013 with my best friend and we both can't stop thinking about it. If you want to feel Paradise with a view to die for and unforgettable sounds of the jungle this is the place for you. I recorded...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon. What a beautiful serene peace of Costa Rican heaven. The staff here is incredibly kind and friendly. There was a mix up with our booking and they took the extra step needed to fix it and make our stay incredible. We were so appreciative of that. We ended...

I stayed there for the last four nights of 2012, and my experience was amazing. I stayed in the Namaste house, and it had amazing views of the Caribbean. My room was very clean, i loved the asthetic, and the bed was very comfortable. The decks with hammocks were a very nice touch. I enjoyed many hours swinging on the...

So it appears that we were unique visitors to Samasati in that we actually rented a car which was not advised by some other travelers. This is partly because the drivers in CR are a little more 'care free' vs the US, but with the insurance and a little caution there is NO Problem. Our car had no license plate...

I spend 16 days at Samasati March-April 2010. It was a beautiful picturesque place. It is also extremely raw. You truely are in the jungle. I've never seen so much wildlife in a natural area. From the 3 different kinds of monkeys to 4 or 5 kinds of Toucans, we saw incredible animals, and scenery. It is situated up a...

Spent only one night in there and loved the experience. It absolutely in the middle of the jungle, full of animals, plants and humidity. The bungallow was beautiful and very simple - had two twin beds and one double bed on the top floor - no windows, just net for the mosquitos. One fan per room! It was an interesting...

Recently stayed a week at Samasati Nature Retreat. First, let me say that the place is beautiful. The jungle completely surrounds you there... as the bungalows and houses are intermittently placed throughout the property. Even the dining area faces out with a beautiful view of the sea and surrounding vegetation. You will see wildlife and nature in abundance... just be...

I am coming back from a wonderful week at Samasati. It is not just the location, it is the whole experience that makes it very special. You are in the jungle – so, yes, it is out of the “norm” for many people, but it is an authentic experience. Rooms are simple yet quite comfortable and cozy. I was in...

I recently stayed at Samasati for a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Upon arrival I was in awe of the breath taking views and the peaceful setting. I was spending 25 days at Samasati and I arrived with an open mind. Now, I understand that it's a nature retreat but the accommodations were less than mediocre. The food, which was...
